Ladders & Statistics - Round 13

Postby scott » Fri Jun 24, 2011 11:48 pm

Despite their enormous win over Sturt this evening, Norwood has narrowly avoided jumping into first position for the first time since round two.

And remarkably, all that separates the Legs and Central District is (other than a loss) two points for and one point against!

Norwood needed just three more points to get top spot.

Let's not forget too that Norwood have played one more game than Centrals!

Was thinking the same thing.

All good results for Centrals and Norwood today though.

Well whatever ladies, it's quite impressive for now.

Anyhoo the league ladder is updated and starting to take some shape. Glenelg's steady decline has eventually seen them fall outside the five for the first time in eight rounds.

Huge round of footy this week as far as the ladder goes.

Norwood has a bye this week and the Bays and Blues are the other clubs with a game more than anyone else.

The Bays and Sturt both need to win with a bye looming. And a South win over Port to top it all off would see the ladder very congested between 4th and 9th.

If the Eagles beat the Dogs at home by about a goal or more, they draw one game closer to Norwood and Central and Norwood would be top on percentage.

HUGE round for all clubs this week....
Steve Bradbury and Michael Milton. Aussie Legends.

Eagles would only need to win by a point for that to happen.

If the dogs win by a small margin they'll be still top but percentage less than Norwood.

Yeah I don't know, its pretty difficult to get 3 votes in losses and the way the Magarey (and Brownlow) is structured makes it difficult to win when that's the case.
This potentially could have been his 5th or 6th Liston/Magarey in a row if things went his way.
Phenomenal.

Hi Scott,

I think you will find that Norwood's percentage in the League is actually 58.75% rather than 58.67%.
Cheers

Interesting that the Bays have the worst defense. ( Conceeding the most points )

I tried the formula, but found it didn't work until I used Team for (points) divide by team for Plus Team against) then percentage button

For the sake of accuracy Bulldog 2004, Norwood 1111 points divide by 1111 + 782 (1892) by percentage is 58.72
