Thats ridiculous and won't happen. We aint South or Glenelg. He will see his contract out and then the club will make a decision from there.

Just got home, good win for us but was a little disappointed with last 40 minutes, we took the foot off the pedal and allowed Sturt to match it with us. Sturt were very ordinary tonight and a 100 point loss would have been a much fairer reflection of the match. Big chance to gain some massive percentage. Was also good to see our ressies win and Doyle to get through a match. Time to rest up for a week before tackling North at the Parade in a fortnight where we will get back our skipper and possibly tex.

There wouldn't be much point in sacking Norman mid-season ... not in contention for finals and there probably isn't a ready made replacement.

Far too many ticky touch 25m penalties too, tonight.

This, atleast they were evenly given. I'll be really interested to see the average number of 25m penalties this year bs previous, its been quite silly at times.

That said credit to the middle umpire for actually paying a few throws today, despite dozen of throws from packs each game their a rare call.

Was a pretty dull game after half time, other than the second half of the first quarter sturt really didn't show much.

Pfeiffer is a former Norwood junior. Was on the Crows senior list 06/07 for zero senior games, then delisted. Picked up by Carlton and played 4 senior games for them during 08/09. Delisted by Carlton and went to Southport Qld for 2010 season. Returned home to play for Norwood in 2011.

Last qtr did Norwood have a bench left?

Terlich hobbled off and Campbell hobbled on, only for Terlich to hobble back on to replace Campbell again.

The bye is timely.

Should be drafted by GWS next year, if they have any sense.

He's been brilliant for us this year, so glad to have him back. I honestly think had the Crows given him a chance in 2007 when he had some great form, he wouldn't have looked back.

Players are getting better and better at knowing where the umpire is and moving themselves around when in a pack so they can shovel/throw the ball to a teammate. Unless we double the number of umpires and have 2 watching the play from opposite sides or we ask the umpires to guess we're going to have to get used to this becoming more common IMHO.

Shocking display last night. Took the in laws from the USA and they even could see we sucked. Legs just too good in their skills, dmaking and pressure when we had it inside 50.

Hansen I thought was good but came back to earth with a few mistakes in the back lines, but he wasn't alone. Brodie Martin was deplorable. Hinge useless, just runs in circles and is always in the wrong position in defense.

Macca tried hard, kouta too. Crane good but needs to do it all game. Sheedy good and ando down back tried hard.

We just went missing for too many periods last night and the legs are a bloody good side.

Not really up to the Legs next week though, if Dogs win, they go top again (edited: still top!)

Went as a neutral tonight. One thing that struck me was Sturt's error rate, playing on and getting caught when it would have been smarter to stop, slow the game down and take a kick. Happened constantly.

Norwood very efficient, and their accuracy shooting for goal from the pocket is amazing.

Agreed, we play on when we shouldn't. And legs were disciplined and accurate. Big flag chance if there ever was one.

Squawk you are a bit harsh, we just come off playing 3 games in 11 days and you asked why the bottom fell out of their collective legs in the last quarter, I was amazed we put up the performance we did in the first 3 quarters.

Add to that we had no players fit to come off the bench and at least 3 other players hobling around the ground in the last quarter

Give me a break.

Cheers

Yes, in the final term we ended up having to play Shenton across half back and Jericho on the ball, so our two main strike forwards from the first 3 terms weren't up there. If ever there was a perfect time to have a bye, I think this is it.

Nah, not really. There's a long way to go and anything could happen.
But so far, so good and there sure is a great buzz around Cooper's at the moment.
With the sh!t we've been through for over a decade (prior to 2010), I think it's pretty well deserved.
Forward Norwood !
8)

For what it's worth, perhaps Sturt shouldn't be judged too harshly for this result.
There were glimpses that showed promise for performances against teams not 'on a roll'
like we are fortunately now experiencing.

I thought in patches were good as well SABRE but Norwood were better more often. Make no mistake Sturt are IMO only a few players away from being a very good side . The coaching needs a shake up though as Sturt seem obsessed with rotating players , Cubillo is a classic example. He had many possessions kicked a good goal and 4 tackles but he spends too much time on the bench and Crane is the same. Norman just doesn't seem to settle a player in a position which must be very unsettling.

Agreed 'HP', and although outclassed last night, 'the towel' was never thrown in.
I would suggest this is one of the most important ingredients in any revival mate.
