Good thing about coro pitches is that when you bowl short, it usually comes up at 1/4 the pace it came out the hand ;)

On another note, very pleased for the Belair boys for winning their way into section 1!! They'll cause a few upsets this year for sure! Tansell & Mangin are quality bowlers and they have some handy batsman. Not to mention their winning culture. Tipping them for top 6.

My tips (early I know)
1. WYC
2. Coromandel
3. Ramblers
4. Cove
5. Keswick
6. Belair
7. ANA
8. Sheidow Park
9. Morphy park
10. South Road
11. PFCC
12... Who's the 12th haha?

Going to be a very even competition this year I feel. I have no confidence in my predictions at all!!

WYC v Coromandel GF.. CORO premiers!!.... I'm not bias ;) ;)

ICC from Grand finalist to bottom!

Ahh yes, no they'll be up there. No Sampson though. Tough to replace!!

Belair will match it with sides in the field as there bowling is strong and have some fine fieldsmen. The worry will be there batting. The openers are ok and Wegs can bat, but I feel they would have to bowl out sides for under 150 to have a chance.or 60 odd

I thought the same after our 2-day match against Cove. Then I faced Kinnear in the 20/20 GF. Almost reckon the first ball hit me before I knew he'd bowled it. Quickest I've faced in our comp I'd have to say.

Yes AF it did actually look as though u were just leaning in to the ball rather than trying to play a shot....very impressive from the side lines ;)

Safe to say that this is because he struggles to bowl lengthy spells.
his bouncer is generally more quicker as well, helped by the fact that there are no biomechanical experts in the crowd. ;)

No doubt he has a talent to bowl sharp like his old man Turbo.
He did tire in seasons gone by in the SCA if needed to bowl quite a few overs, which could be a work thing too.
I'd be more annoyed that there is a player at Cove who can bowl sharper than Brett and has all the cricket talent in the world but is too lazy to put in the yards.

Action looked fine to me from umpiring in the T20 and also from the side lines. He was bloody quick in the T20 though.

just curious what some clubs do to attract players to the club?
for example, having a drink with a mate the other week when i was last in adelaide. i told him there's a strong possibility i will be back in adelaide by late november, anyways long story short and after a fair bit of drunk talk, woke the next morning with a warradale c.c card in my wallet. my $$ was still in the wallot which was good. obviously i forgot that i took the card of him in my drunk state... however i just thought those cards were a good idea to get the word around. mate works in a bar and he's been giving them to heaps of people. weather it works, i dont know. just thought it was a good way to get a clubs name out there.

could be done by $$$, word of mouth or just plain advertising. just curious on how clubs do it...

WYCCC use the simple method of getting a player blind drunk off of jagermeister and red bull then putting a contract under their nose and a pen in their hand. Oldest trick in the book :)

That's cause there isn't.

VC - The wink at the end of my comment I hope you understand was because it was tounge in cheek.
In the past some people on the sidelines, probably those who found him too hard to play, reckoned his elbow was very bent when delivering his "effort ball" or quicker bouncer.
I'm pretty sure you know who I am and wouldn't bother suggesting anything like that seriously.
