WYC and Keswick GF. There is a massive gap between them and the rest of the competition. Anything can happen in finals tho.

Even Keswick aren't up there with WYC, alright they did beat them a few weeks ago but all good sides have a bad day and Keswick were lucky enough to get that bad day, WYC won't let that happen again.
Keep an eye on WOS, there playing some good cricket at the moment.

I agree Keswick aren't up there with WYC, mainly due to a few players being unavailable but WYC didn't have a bad day when they lost, batting arrogantly and stupidly is not the same as having a bad day.

D Hibberd 150 odd must have been good to watch ?

WYC v ICC - WYC to win easy.
KESWICK v WOS - Keswick in a close one.

And then WYC to win flag.

What do you reckon guy's.

yea, was hardwork boss, they shut up shop a bit, was a pretty good effort, games earlier in the yr hurt us. yea hibberds knock was good to watch... and wyc will win the flag ezy now

Tucky in Section V..WTF??

Postby Rik E Boy » Sun Mar 18, 2007 5:54 pm

I have to say I feel a bit sorry for anyone trying to get Colin Tuckwell out in Section five (North Haven III). He is one of the best players I have played against and he would be a nightmare in the fives.

Don't know VC. He's not a spring chicken anymore, maybe he has had enough of playing A Grade cricket and he just wants to have a quiet game and a few beers afterwards. He's got nothing to prove believe me.

I always viewed him as a lower grade bully.
Good player, no doubt, but a few of us had the impression he didn't like the harder stuff in the 1's.

Spring chicken he isn't but even 10 years ago he was playing 2's for North Haven.

TUCKWELL- GLORY BOY !!

He is playing in the lower grades due to the fact that he held the record for the most runs in an innings at Nth Haven, until last year when it was broken, so he dropped down to the lower grades to try and get his record back again.

KESWICK v ICC in section 1, my tip, hopefully ICC !!!!!

WYC what went wrong? I think that the way that Finals are played it doesnt really reward the teams that do finish one and two a home final isnt much really. My opinion I think they sould consider 1st VS 2nd Winner plays home GF 3rd VS 4th loser OUT winner plays away VS loser of 1 and 2 and then the winner plays away in The GF at least this way it gives teams that peform well during the season a reward for their position. Teams that sneak into 4th position shouldn't just win one game then suddenly have a chance at the big one if it was changed and a team that finished 4th made the GF then you could say that they generally earnt that right and just didnt have one lucky day.

They must have had "another" bad day.

Benefits of finishing 1st or 2nd also include a win if play is cancelled due to bad weather.

Where is the Grand Final to be played? Is it a Neutral Ground or Highest ranked side hosts the game?

If you look on North Havens web site, (nhcc.org.au) you will see that tucky batted himself 4 times at number 5, once at 4, once at 3, once at 6 and once at 10, i dont know about you but if you were glory hunting you would be in the top 3 every week. Tucky has never played any lower than A grade, (other than unavailabe one week) in his time at North Haven.
Good luck Bay Boy
