Cant see this happening, as it would be a massive blow to ALL COUNTRY LEAGUES, and set a precident which would have Country footy & their boards in a horrible place. FFS u did the crime Chris, stop sooking & get on with it

Wow, really? If there is any truth to all this, what happens if he has taken it to court and is allowed to play until the verdict of the hearing comes?

I would assume if still found guilty, he then has to still serve a 8 game ban which adds games to the end of the season and potentially into the finals (if they make it).

On the other hand, if found innocent it would open up a whole can of worms in regard to claims against the RMFL and perhaps him or Jervois FC seeking compensation.

Probably looking way to far into it, but this could be a very drawn out process if it does end up in the courts.

Has anyone even thought that maybe he is taking it to court about medical bills for Joel Kay? I doubt he would spend all court fees just to reduce his suspension, he would of already served 4?

Well he did admit guilt by ringing to apologise to Joel that night so I doubt he believes he did nothing wrong

So officially Ladhams suspension has been reduced to 4 games.

Jervois FC threatened to take the RMFL to court after his personal case against them was thrown out. Jervois and the RMFL then agreed to reduce his suspension to 4 games which means he makes his return against ramblers in a couple weeks so that will be a very interesting game, needless to say we dont expect to see him over for a beer afterwards.

Basically Jervois have held a gun to the RMFL's head and in the position they are in, the RMFL did not want to fight it. Reason being if they lost the case the RMFL could potentially end up completely broke trying to pay the court costs and the future of this league would have been put in serious jeopardy.

So, now any player and/or club that is unhappy with a suspension will threaten to take the RMFL to court. Nice precedent there.

yep same old story with some of these Ex League Footballers they are nothing but trouble, our club over here in the West has had two one from Geelong and one from Collingwood in my ten years here, whilst they could both coach they could whip up some drama.

Certainly very poor form by Jervois. Surely there was a case for the SANFL via the Community Football Board to become involved with some support for the RMFL. They seem to want to have control over country footy so they should be prepared to take on some the problems that arise. Be interested to know if an approach was made to them for assistance.
