The crowd looked a little on the low side yesterday but suprisingly we had the biggest attendance by a fair bit.

Personally I enjoy a good verbal joust with Centurion and I am happy to bag Centrals with him on any subject matter.
Norwood + Centrals = Hate !!!!!!!!!

eagleton- second report =laughable; first report= should get 3-4 in my opinion.

South absolutely insipid after half time.
Rodans goal from a boundary throw in in the NW pocket in the last quarter was the sort of defensive effort you see in the under 11's, extremely embarrassing.

I think you are being very unfair to Under 11's there .....

Reckon there is plenty to work with mate, and it was possibly a case of heads down once Norwood broke the 4 goal lead barrier ... In the opening half South never let Norwood get much in front, were running and hunting in numbers, and were fierce at the ball and body.

I'd say the problem was more "upstairs" than anywhere else, I was actually very impressed with what I saw from the Panthers in the first hour.

Pleasing to note Eagletons 2nd charge has been dropped and if highlights of the game are used the 1st charge will be dropped as well.

Eagleton has already served 2.5 quarters for the 2nd report for which he was sent off and the charge subsequently dropped

Obvious hip and shoulder as Stribbling was kicking the ball, not 40m away as suggested by Blue and White, then Stribbling
(a renowned diver) gets up and takes his own 50m penalty kick for goal

Now I ask you, Stribbling gets up, has a kick and goes on to record South's highest possesions for the game and clearly their best;
relate this to a similar charge in last years Grand Final where a Norwood player through "Divine Intervention" breaks jaw in
2 places between hip and shoulder and hitting the ground, charged player is found not guilty.

SANFL Tribunal be fair and drop the 1st charge as well, or you will be left with the bad smell of covering up or worse saving face
for very bad decisions by the proven incompetent umpire concerned.

Cheers

If they haven't dropped the first charge, then they obviously think it stacks up.

We'll await the verdict with interest.

Interesting, Do people think this will be taken into account when handing down a verdict, especially considering the second charge has been dropped?

eg, Tribunal see it worthy as a 1 game suspension but reduce it to a reprimand considering he has served over half a game of football already.

Yes, I think he should have his suspension reduced by two and a half quarters :D

Obviously you haven't seen Stribling play too often. His skills aren't great, but he is hard at the footy.

G'day BP, you are taking me out of context and wrong page issue, I did not mention anything about a high hit, I said hip and shoulder, where in the game rules is that illegal at the player with the ball about to kick it, if it is I will give up this game I love most.

I was trying to put both incidents into perspective, both legitimate actions in my book, so both should be not guilty. Have you seen the video clip on Advertiser web page?

I openly admit I was angry in the beginning about Wingnut, but that was GF emotion flowing over, but if you go back to that same post you mention you will see it was me who was more than concillitory on the issue

I actually had a good discussion with Centrals head coach at Norwood at recent clash, I inquired as too how soon he (Wingnut)would be back on track with Centrals and there on with the Crows, for what its worth I enjoyed his company for a quarter and bit, great coach and I see clearly why Centrals are head and shoulders above the pack.

Eagleton accepted a 1 week ban for first report but second report was thrown out. Fair call in end, i thought he would get a week it was a very late bump.

i saw the Eagleton bump during the game. My thoughts we're high elbow to the neck. My first reaction was to look at the umpire waiting for a report to happen
