yes i am a lion heart and would like to be playing before i leave but i work nights and weekends so bit hard to play footy when ur working. i have heard flinn is on good money, covers the v8 petrol money easily. as for silky just read the threads in cricket and thought i would have a laugh. i love my club. i would never walk out on a club when things are not going that well.

Fonz - "flinny is a great player"

Lets not blow too much smoke up his date. He's not a bad bloke and feel sorry for him that he couldn't play where he wanted to a few years back but Fonz, to use the word great is rediculous. He is a handy hfl player at best.

iv herd more controversy through connections at the gate that a big hitting and kicking lofty player is there new b's captain. coud be a conflict of interest on sat with a cricket gf and trial game??? lofty have a youth policy apparently and older even premiership players could be forced out.
Who's cool and has two thumbs?

Interesting, Fonz.
I can safely say that no gate player will miss a GF for a footy trial.
They'd be f'n mad to to that.
Is the new capt. a Gate player? Or was that a different point?

How could I forget about Nipple!!!

He did captain 1 game last year at shanty.

Problem with Nipple is the chicks he hangs around are from Cabbage, so that counts him out in my books!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think Nipple's been out in the middle long enough to be a big hitter yet.

anyone that can hang around them must have the balls to be captain, dare say nipple is always taking one for the team!

The fact that nipple couldn't hit a watermelon with a bit of chip board three meters wide makes it a bit hard for him to be a big hitter. but i dont think that it would be either of them. no offence gts but they havent been out at training enough. mind you none of the real contenders have been. ie nugget. brero, nipple and gts. we might even see a youn fella take the reins. like nelson or birdy.

Long time no hear KYF.

I'd count brero out for wearing that rude green suit on more than 1 occasion!!! Nugget would be a good choice, especially this year with a coach that's not going to drop him before a final  :x  :x  :x  :x  :x  :x  :x  !!!

ron if it is me i havent heard about it. id love to captain the supers,i captained a few last yr including the courier cup win. if it isnt me nugget would a good choice. prob not nipple he'd still be in the A grade mix, you dont want a captain that is is the a's most of the yr. i think spearhead may know more??

Nipple has been known to blast at least one bowler out of the park...mind you it was at Shanty!!!

Why wouldnt the coach be Captain? Or has Mad dog retired? or the be laid up with the ankle for the season?

dont think theres much point having captain coach. let him coach while someone else can do the onfield leading.

I think the big hitting, middle order batsman from Lofty would be ideal, a big full forward captain is what the club needs. There would have to be a few in the mix, Coats, Nugget, Sinkers, Brero, BDR to name a few.
Ron, with all due respect(geez I sound like Spenda) warby was all but prepared to walk out on the club 5-6 weeks ago, that might have given him a shot at shanty but not at a winning club.
