That game was correctly programmed as a Sunday game to at least give CD a 6 day break, same thing should of happened this week. And why didnt it? It clashes with local soccer

The only person who seems to have an issue with this is you......I wouldn't read too much into it, not an excuse, but it would be a contributing factor :D

The Bays have to play somebody on a 5-day break after the now-traditional Monday holiday game. It might as well be the Dogs at Elizabeth, since that isn't going to be a win anyway

Not sure why the sentiment that it's up to Centrals to accommodate Glenelg because they want a game on a Monday. If you want a Monday game then deal with the 5 day break. If that 1 extra day is so precious then either don't play the Monday game or tell the SANFL you want it only if there is no game on the following Saturday. Otherwise get on with it like most other clubs do. Nothing embarrassing at all from the dogs perspective. Perhaps from Glenelg's to put their team in that position if the single day is a 100 point disadvantage.

BTW, what ever happened to the constant bleating about how Eddie Sansbury couldn't play?

Dogs askled for no Sunday games, Bays asked for Monday game. The only "oops" here is the performance of your team - I'd suggest some internal inspection is in order before anything else.

Why, do you think our players have prostate disease? Might explain their performance...

When all is said and done, the 5 day break would have been a hinderance to Glenelg, you have to admit. BUT it certainly wouldn't have changed the end result...maybe We wouldn't have won by as much. Is everyone happy now?

Currently, he's second, three votes behind Paul Thomas on the supporter's forum player of the year. Having a fantastic year.

Had a funny moment today.
Each day on my regular commute between Loxton and Berri I pass a passionate Glenelg man going the other way.
We know each other well, having played cricket against each other.
Every day, we do the country style finger nod, saying "g'day".
Today? Nothing from the great man. No finger nod. He's taking it hard.
I'm surprised I didn't get a raised middle finger to be honest.
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

No I'm not happy with that. We play our best when our backs are to the wall and so we would have gone harder in the last quarter and won by more if they didn't have a 5 day recovery.
We used to be good :-(

Just had a look at Saturday's winning team. Ten players with less than 20 games for the dogs (one Luke Habel with 21). It's fantastic, that these young guys are stepping up and fitting in so well. From my calcs, seven are "locals", with Milne, Habel, Sutherland and Templeton (debutant) not "locals".

Yep best part is as well from a Central point of view is that i dont think we will lose to many to the AFL.

Personally i can see Templeton and Dunne getting drafted but the rest i think will be at Dogs for a long time.

Also good to see Habel play a cracker, i think him going back to the reserves last week and absolutly smashing it has given him the confidence to know his to good to be playing in the magoos. If he can just get his accuaracy in front of goal he could be the next Chad O'Sullivan.

Barmby is possibly the most improved player in the SANFL this year, very similar to how Ritchie Cochrane played but with a bit more pace. Occasionally still plays a tad loose to his man but his workrate and run from half back/back pocket is awesome.

Yeah very good call, cant believe i had to think Hay Who for a quick second?

Tyson was an absolute gem for us and almost ended up at the Bay until spending the 2000 GF and after party down at Centrals.

Only clear difference between the two imho is that Hay had a far more penetrating kick than Barmby, but size, height, pace, accuracy of disposal, the way they use the ball, attack on the ball is all very similar

Forgetting how you said he wouldn't be in Centrals' best 21 now are you? With all this practice trying to rewrite history Glenelg will have 10 flags soon.

Eddie's kicking in is as good as anyone else in the comp. Usually kickin results are due to the work of the other players, not the player kicking in.

Bulldog2004 and myself had a very good chat with Eddie last week about the kicking in responsibilites and how supporters view it.

He mentioned that it is a massive responsibility with alot of pressure but sometimes the flack you recieve when stuffing up is a bit unfair.

He went on to say (im only paraprashing) that people will remember his mistakes from a kick out even if the opposition go on and kick a point from it, yet if you turnover the ball in the half forward flank 3 times and the oppostion go down and kick goals straight away people dont generally remember who made the initial mistake.

And as Graham said a lot of times its not the kicker ins fault. There was the Yves Sibenaler kick deep in the backlines against Port which looked terrible and resulted in Thurgood kicking an easy goal. Eddie actually blamed himself and Reichart for that error as they didnt work hard enough to make Thurgood split a bigger area, Lairdy was more critical of them than the actual Sibenaler kick.
