Rnd 13 - Panthers v WWT @ Hickinbotham - 2.10pm Sat 25/6/11

Postby GWW » Sun Jun 19, 2011 8:56 pm

The Panthers have shown some good form at home this year, and they come up against an Eagles side this week who will be fresh after coming off the bye. The home side will need several of their youngsters to step up against WWT to be any chance of notching up a win, but I think a more likely outcome is an Eagles win by about 15 points.

South are a far better side at home but I still see the Eagles winning a tight one

South are unpredicatable and stranger things have been known to happen than a win over the Eagles this week. Not beyond the realms of possibility for South to pinch this one.

the only danger is whether its a 3 goal win or a 10 goal win

or

going down the expressway the wrong way

I'll have to disagree MT79 Ron and South love to beat the Eagles.while "GODS" and the Eagles have to treat this as a danger game .Eagles lost a game down there last year.

If south can string together 4 quarters like their first half against us they are in with a real shot. I know some guys involved with the club were very impressed with their first half.

problem with south is they very rarely win a 2nd half. if the eagles are in front or narrowly behind, the eagles just win

South shouldve beaten glenelg by close to 10 goals - 32pts up at half time and ended in a draw. fair to say the eagles are clearly a far better side then glenelg, and the eagles will win.

Getting a little sick of the "danger game" cliché. Can we just assume every game is a "danger game"?

Looking forward to this game. I don't get much chance to see the Eagles play as I live 5mins away from Noarlunga oval. Quietly confident but I was last year as well. That game didn't end well :(

The Eagles have lost a bit of cred. recently, they need to regain some & soon, therefore they have too much riding on this blockbuster. The Wiggles by 28 points.....and make sure you get there early, folks.

Wingnut in the 2's for the Panthers?

I think the Eagles will be too strong for South and will get up by about 5 or 6 goals.

Maybe he can drag our 2s over the line for a rare win :D

Looks as though MacKay is a good chance of lining up for South. God knows we'll need him.

Coming off the bye is the real worry. Remember last time the Eagles were expected to win against Sturt and got murdered.
We had better be on song this time or the same thing will happen. We tend to take the "lesser lights" too cocky!!
