Kim still has a run for the Hills team. played B grade for Kersbrook the day before we played them. Still goes alright too.

We ventured up to Lyrup on the weekend to play the Riverland Superdogs - lost by about 4 goals i think, but it was an enjoyable game. The Riverland fellas were all great lads, and made us feel extremely welcome all day.

A few of us actually headed up on Saturday arvo, and sampled the nightlife that Berri had to offer - i think we did very well to get through the game with only couple of hours sleep ! Top weekend all round !!!

East played host to Mid North on Sunday. MN only had 11 so we filled their team and got a game going. Easts had another win but the scoreboard was irrelevant as we swapped the 7 we gave them with a different 7 at 1/2 time and the game was pretty much a bit of fun..........In the late game, Poooraka and SHOC had a decent hitout with SHOC filling a full team and getting up comfortably. Was a good game to watch and both teams looking pretty good. Shame they both brought thier own eskies and sat around in the changerooms after the game and diddn't really support our BBQ and bar, Oh well, what goes around..........

Most sides bring their own eskies mate, we rotate the captaincy each game and it is their responsibility to bring a fully loaded esky of brews. I wouldnt take it personally, as you never actually know what the hosting club will have on offer.

Im spewing i wont be able to play against you blokes in a couple of weeks Old Farmer, i have a family commitment on that day.

Fitroy beat West at Flinders pk on Sun. Not sure who won the early game.
Thanks to Westies for their after match hospitality.

Fitzroy beat Pooraka yesterday. Good game played in excellent spirits.
First game in three weeks meant that the last quarter felt like it went forever.
Im sure I wasn't the only one feeling the pinch!

Just like to thank everyone involved with masters footy this year. Well run organisation and a fantastic comp. Gives us old farts a chance to relive the dream and still get up for work on Mondays (well sometimes). To all the East Demon boys, thanks for being a great bunch of mates and making my job as coach easy. Anyone going to Maroochy for the carnival, get out to the last 3 trainings. I can see SA bringing home some medals and All Australians this year. Good luck to all teams at the carnival and all teams for next year. Unfortunately due to other comitments i won't be coaching Easts next year but i'll still be out every second Sunday for a run.
Just for the record, Easts lost 1 game for the year to Blackwood up there ( thanks Mounty, Hawk, Mooney and Dougy for not turning up and Danny Morton turning up for Blackwood ).

Great night at The East Demons final night on Saturday. Well Dean Luci, winner of the Rod Murray Blue Jacket. Also to Dougy Clarke for best first year player and Nick Monda for best team man. A fantastic night organised by our prez Mooney and the rest of the committee. And thanks to Athelstone FC for the food and drinks.

Morphie Parks have about 28 blokes interested in getting a side together for next season in this format.
Are there different divisions, how many teams do play, how far do you travel, how serious is it?
Lots of questions being thrown around, but alot of interested nonetheless.

Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

First 2 yes. More of the 1989 Under 18,s players like Rosser, Knowles & Miller, plus a few names people would not recognise (like mine). Max Eddy was keen too.

One division, from Reynella in the South to places like Clare, Mallala, Murray Bridge, Berri but the country trips are only once a year. Portland and Rosewater from the Port area, East @ Athelstone, Pooraka, Elizabeth, Phantoms, etc.
The on-ballers are the most serious, the forward pockets are the least serious...

The might need a second stretcher. What is the record in the season, 8.

Dunno about a season, but i think my playing record was something like 88 games, won 15 by knockout!
I was concussed 3 times in 5 days back in 1989. Training Wed night, A grade Sat then U/18's on the sunday. :(

Is that Lucivero? Played a couple of seasons with us at United 07 & 08 from memory. Would ruck for our B Grade on Saturdays and then play over 35's on Sundays. Not bad for a mid 40 year old at the time. Nice bloke.

Heard a rumour that some boys are looking to get a Barossa team up and going. Would think there would be plenty of available starters in that region. Would be a strong side too
