Many should be in the ressies regardless. North has had plenty such cases and luckily we managed to offload Marlon Motlop to West who took longer than i thought they would to realise what a lazy bludger he is. We still have Tony Armstrong though who dosn't seem to understand what team he's playing for and as for Andrew Moore, the less said the better.

So the stickers aren't as tacky as the campaign?

Maybe the AFL are directing what commentators should talk about or more to the point what they are NOT allowed to talk about. Of course they wouldn't do that or would they??

That's all I can say about that without getting myself in trouble.

Well, I think you're already in trouble for watching an AFL game!!

Only Port are allowed to campaign to save their club then?

AFL reserves teams in the SANFL would kill my club, it's only fair people should be allowed to voice their opposition.

Maybe you should move to Syria Booney, they share your view on protests and opposition. :)

I guess we could have gone for more expensive stickers, but that would have required the AFL to bail us out to pay for them.

Did you simply Google "Do Syria like cheap bumper stickers?"

I'm getting some I heart Vidkun Quisling stickers made up for a few posters on this site.

Disclaimer - I googled his first name. :D

"Scare mongering in case" is a decidedly emotive choice of words, but close to the mark. I've said elsewhere that this whole hands-off sentiment is pre-emptive. With the Perth clubs openly expressing the desire for reserves teams in their domestic comp, coupled with the historically cavalier attitude of the greater AFL towards the other leagues, is it not reasonable to start a bit of sabre-rattling now?

Admittedly the local AFL entities appear to be dead against it, which is fortunate. A little bit of audible discontent might encourage them to maintain that attitude. Should either club - or the AFL itself - start leaning on the SANFL for reserves teams, then I'll be reaching for a pitchfork, not a bunch of stickers.

(edit) - fixed the attributions, there ya go Booney

Does Sabre know he's integral to the Hands Off campaign?

I was hoping that the term might prompt an appearance by The Great Man himself on this thread. 8)

I had to laugh at the suggestion in today's Advertiser that the reason Collingwood and Geelong were the top 2 teams in the AFL was because they had their own reserves team. They have to be kidding don't they?

having no reserves teams didn't hurt the crows in 1997 & 1998 & it didn't hurt port in the early 2000's when they were dominant along side brisbane........their problem is getting a better list than they both have now & off course being the nature that it is it is cyclical
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Obviously the crows dont have the go easy on team mates rule.. was a few occasions when Maric and McKernan were rucking against each other at centre bounces, havent seen 2 big men run and jump into each other as hard as they did in a long time.

Correct. Maric has left McKernan quite sore from the last centre bounce, where he has a corked "upper thigh".
