Round 13 - Norwood v Sturt @ Norwood - 7.40pm Fri 24/6/11

Postby GWW » Sun Jun 19, 2011 8:53 pm

The Double Blues were impressive in round 12, however they come up against a bigger challenge this week when they come up against an in form Norwood side. A few lesser known Sturt players have stepped up in recent weeks and these youngsters will need to step up even more if they are to be any chance of attaining a win. I think Norwood will win by about 5 goals.

Sturt seem to always trouble us at Norwood but id expect us to get up by 5 or 6 goals this week

In Adelaide this week to witness this one, with the Yankee inlaws in town to see their first live semi pro Aussie rules game. Hopefully the blues can put in a good showing.

this reminds me of last year when we were going for our 7th win in a row and lost to sturt. If we play anything like we did in the first half against south sturt may beat us.

Definate danger game, hope we can hang on to D-Rod for another week if not it will be interesting to see who comes in for him and the injured Hughes. I believe Gags has put his hand up to play but with the bye coming up id like to see him have another week off and come back fresh after the bye

Getting a little sick of the "danger game" cliché. Can we just assume every game is a "danger game"?

(WARNING! CENTRAL SUPPORTER POSTING) Isn't it a little dangerous to assume that every danger game is a danger game? What if it turns out to NOT be & you win by 15 goals? Does that in turn mean that next week's game, which was probably the REAL danger game, will in fact be taken too lightly & the result will be a thrashing?

Fair call. I reckon we've seen enough from all of the teams to know that any of them can either win or be bloody tough to beat on their day.

To get top spot from Centrals: Norwood need to win this game by a minimum of 39 points but, depending on how many points Sturt score, will probably need to win by about 60 points or so...

Surely we'll see a fairly comfortable Norwood victory?

I'll be pleased if the Blues put in the same level of dedication and application as they did last weekend against West. Do that and the result doesn't matter so much, as it's the follow 3 games that define our season (North, Port, South). They're the games we have to win in order to turn this season around into something amazing...

No point playing well against Norwood and then bombing against the other also-rans...

Norwood by 31-40

Surely this game has to lean towards a "Sturt to lose by 11 goals" style csbowes prediction...

I can't help it if Torrens and West under-perform! :-)

Sturt's chances will hinge on Crow's selection unfortunately (and Norwood injuries / suspensions)
