Clubs "AllTime" best team?

Postby FRED » Wed Jun 15, 2011 5:43 pm

Para Hills is celebrating 40 years this year and someone has asked me to pick an all time best team. nothing official just out of interest. I am struggling with what type of criteria to use, ie must have played 50 "A" grade games, any "A" grade association winners automaticlly qualify etc.
Any input would be appreciated.

we've done several on differing criteria in the past including best clubmen and characters and best nicknames.

I'd suggest that you chat with the committee and get some parameters to work within; failing that picking the side based on criteria that you can explain simply; failing that pick whoever you like.

good luck - i've just done the best side i've coached and its a bit of a pickle.

We did a 'strangest' XI at the bar one night at our cricket club, came up with a quality filled line up and some very very strange people.

But back on the topic, Southern Football League did something similar (to a team of alltime, not a strangest team) and thier criteria had something like 100 games, or assoc medal winner, or premiership player, etc etc, just go on the SFL thread and i think there is a team of the century topic and it may have the criteria on there.
