If Mannum weren't spending the money they are, they would not be in the top 3!!! That is for sure!!! Have heard they can only afford to do it for 1 more year

Hills is not an option as they dont have netball with the footy, would be a big backward step.

RMFL is not going anywhere. Get some perspective people. Football leagues survive in areas where industry growth occurs. Industry growth is occurring in the Murraylands. This is a ridiculous topic. Move on!!!

Imps v Ramblers- Ramblers in a close contest just 17 points, although we wont have the sturt connection this week to cover our losses, but Imps have lost Hodgey which is big for them.

Mannum v Mypolonga- Mannum should start to really motor from here to the finals if they are serious, but Mypo are hugely under-rated IMO. If Jones plays, Mypo could upset the Roo's again. Mypo by 9 points

Tailem v Meningie- No Benbow, No Brunoli, No Meningie. Tailems top 5 are as good as any in the comp, & they have the best player in the comp in Wark. Tailem easily 37 points. If Benbow & Brunoli play, it will be much closer

Does anybody know when Imperials last lost three games in a row?? I reckon it has been at least 10 years. Going to take a huge turnaround to stop it happening given the belting Ramblers gave us last time.

Not sure but near the end of 2009 they had a really bad run with injuries and lost quite a few in a short period but dont know if it was anymore than two in a row. Probably lost 4 out of six back then including finals

Ramblers have put a good side on the park aswell, just a couple in doubt still tho with a bit of the dreaded tummy bug going round

Anyway, hope this week is a close one. Nothing gets ya more pumped than watching a side you love slug it out to the last breath.

Yeah its good to see your team to get up big but when you win the close ones, its so much sweeter. And if you lose that close one, well good on them and prepare for the next time.

Was reading the sturt league line up for this week and was a bit surprised..

Ben Hansen
Sam Phieffier
Brodie Martin
Adam Thomson

All playing this week and all players from rmfl clubs and have grown up in this league it's great to see

Also other names who have played this season

Adam Eckerman (port magpies) 2010 rmfl mail medalist
Chad Wingard (state u18 captain) played in imperials grand final league team as a 16yr old in 2009
Corey Jones (sturt ressies mypo a grade) has played 2 league sturt games in 2011

This is great for RMFL and whoever said the rmfl is dying they might wanna look into it more

With the draft being another big one for Gold Coast and GWS we might see names like
Hansen, Eckerman, Jones, Phieffer get picked up late and maybe find therself on a AFL list like Brodie Martin did
Then Chad Wingard looking like he will be a top 3, 2 stand out state games and only played 2.

Short future SANFL players and chance to be drafted
Imps - Dwayne Wilson
- Jarred Lienert
- Sean Samblich

Meningie- Rhys Marles

If people can chuck in there clubs future stars it would be great because this league has a huge future and will see many future AFL players :)

Absolutely awesome game yesterday at Imperials. Two great teams slugging it out. Even better after the result!!

Also if yesterday didn't show that Tyson Wait is the best player in this league I am not sure what would. He was absolutely awesome yesterday!!

No doubt Tyson wait is a great player but Id say nick wark from Tailem is the best player in this comp! He can dominate any position on the ground, is strong, great skills, has the best mark in the comp by far and kicks a bag most weeks!!

I read that Angaston boy Chiefton Kennedy is now taking the competition by the short and curleys for Mannum.
Are you prepared to pay the price? WILL YOU PAY THE PRICE?

Kennedy on song in the finals series could be the thing that gets the Roos over the line in the big finals. Great round of footy last weekend. The RMFL is in a very healthy state.

Managed to sneak in a have a look at the Imps Ramblers game on saturday and am pretty glad i did. As i seen a clash that reminds me of what this game used to be about. It was a good hard contest all day and with Imps losing Jamie Honor to injury in the second quarter and then finding themselves 5 goal down i thought that was it and Ramblers would run away with it again. But to Imps credit they did not lie down and got back within 1 goal at the major break and things were pretty close from there on in. And also seen some pretty passionate Imps die hard supporters really get around the team as they left the ground and headed towards the rooms with the victory. Just goes to show how much the win and getting over the cross town rivals actually does mean. I know that Ramblers were missing a few important players but if that Imps team turns up every week to play football and not the team that turned up for the previous two weeks. Then they are a real chance at having a crack at the flag.

It will undermine the integrity of the league and the tribunal if he can play this week.
