Cant believe Kruges didnt drive from Loxton to Willunga to train. Poor effort. There is very little talk about the weekend on the RMFL, GSFL and SFL forums. Whats the go? Is everyone disinterested or are we playing our cards close to our chest?

why do you have to fit in under 21's? Is there age restrictions this year?

Not a bad line up - i however am not convinced about Baulderstone.... too slow around the ground and not having the impact he did last years (have seen him play 2 games so he might have been ok in others) - Benny Simmounds toweled him up when strath played compass and Ben is U/21 - i think Baulderstone is in on past reputation (30KG's lighter)

Does anyone know the final team for great southern tomorrow? Only heard a few positions last night from a players dad. Warren out with glut strain, button out, munn n/a. Centre line is baulderstone, burdett, cousins and s.elliott. Iljcesen chf, standfield ff, nisbett hbf, eagleton fp, weckert bench looks like alot of the tall timber aren't available. Agree about baulderstone the big noarlunga oval might test him a bit.

Great win by the Gsfl today 20-18 to 7-4 I think. Turned it on for the 150 people that were there. Burdett & S.Brown racked up plenty. Illjeson was really good up forward. Have no idea why the SFL played there better side against the Rmfl......

The people selecting the sides would have had no idea which side was better than the other because they hadnt seen any of them play this year. If the SFL is serious about wanting to play representative football, then they need to put more thought into what they are doing. To put themselves on the big stage, (infront of 150 people) and be so embarrasing is evidence they are well behind the times. If they dare hang their hat on beating the RMFL, they are kidding themselves. Well done to the GSFL on a great win even with several key players missing.

If you were there today you would be convinced. Some of his tap work was exceptional against a very good player. Hes also only 20yrs of age.

Sides were selected as supposed equal strength, with the two coaches selecting in the "old schoolyard" style of alternative picks.
The main reason for the vastly differing result was the strength of opposition. Are RMFL truly that much worse than GS ? The difference was probably exaggerated by form on the day, but coach David Earl certainly got the short straw in terms of strength of opposition. GSFL is clearly far stronger.

The RMFL is probably as strong as the GSFL in terms of the top 5 players at each club but it falls down after that. If those leading players at each RMFL club dont then play in the association games, then they aren't going to be overly competitive.

Yeh i've just been trying to get a bit of a bite out of the Sfl posters for a bit of fun without any luck.
Where do the Rmfl go from here? Smashed by half a SFL side...
Sitting upstairs with the likes of Rigs, Milo & Vick would of made a huge difference vs Gsfl. Not to mention Tedmanson, Mckenzie, Earl & Farrier.
Give the fans what they want. Gsfl vs Sfl at a local ground under lights with no age restrictions!

From what I've heard GSFL had a sort of "gentleman's agreement" with RMFL. They were already pencilled in to play each other in 2011.
Therefore, when SFL wanted an Assoc game, we had to supply 2 teams so GSFL and RMFL both got an Assoc game.

Maybe if the Hills League could be convinced to play Assoc football again, the Lovelock Shield could be revived, as this be a better option with the SFL strongest team playing together in one team.
