The Simpsons is so good it has infinate potential for storylines. Ive always been a fan of the idea of a "new generation" Simpsons. Where Bart and Lisa are in High School. Opens up so many more storylines than Primary School. New Characters mixed with the old. Cant wait for the movie.blink wrote:I think the producers of The Simpsons had it right in the first place by saying they won't make a movie.
I wouldn't be suprised if this is the finale for The Simpsons. I hope not, but most will agree that whilst the new episodes of The Simpsons are still one of the best shows on TV at the moment, they aren't as great as they were 10 years ago.

Stop looking for all the best things about the earlier Simpsons eps and just enjoy the quirky offbeat humour. Simpsons is best when u dont try think to much about where theyre goin with a plotline. Tell me REB what shows to u find funny.Rik E Boy wrote:zipzap wrote:The Simpsons went to the dogs years ago
Agreed. Last night's episode was total crap.

The Simpsons started off having a real dig at America with plenty of social comment but has denigrated into the usual blatantly obvious type of humour that the Americans tend to churn out on a regular basis. I don't buy Bart being Homer's sidekick, the recycling of bit part players (that general guy is almost the same as that Bodyguard trainer from an earlier episode) and what they have done to Homer is ridiculous, he was an endearing character in the earlier series but no he's just a f****** idiot. Lesser shows such as King of the Hill and Family Guy have now overtaken The Simpsons IMO.

Fawlty Towers currently enjoying another re-run here. Classic comedy. Hard to believe they only made 12 episodes. Last nights was the Health Inspector / Manuels per rat Basil. Seen it dozens of times, still made me laugh out loud. Goodies making a come back with a re-run now. First time around, one of my fav comedies, but can't get into it this time, and just doesn't seem funny anymore.
