Season 2011, Round 11 Budget...

I spotted a few grammatical errors in last weeks budget that I let slide, especially one sentence in the article on Emmanuel Irra and Ben Kennedy, but it now seems that even The Phantom has caught the disease...

Page 7...

* "So where to from hear for South Australian football?"
* "The issue has again raised its ugly head across the boarder..." :?

Also, on page 3, it says regarding the cover photograph which has a Sturt and Port Adelaide player slugging it out for the football..."COVER: The fight for the final five is alive." :? Really? Sturts chances of playing in this years finals is as existant as a Dodo and Ports chances are looking very iffy. :?

I agree, those mistakes are shockers.
BTW, "Sturts" should be "Sturt's"; "years" should be "year's"; "existant" should be "existent"; and "Ports" should be "Port's".

Does the Phantom actually talk about SANFL matters (and not just Crows or Power)?

I recorded the 3/4 time score from the ST V EG today wrongly
Should I blame the Budget for that as well ?

Yes Ive noticed a few boo boos over the years
Ive accepted that
IF some others dont accept that, then I suggest dont buy the budget
I will keep buying the Footy Budget, because notMALly it is great reading

But there was something about the PhanTOM

THE PHANTOM
LETTERS AND TEXTS TO THE CAVE
This is what someone should send the Phantom

Dear PhanTOM
The SA football budget is a SANFL publication
NOT a publication to write mainly about the AFL in the round 11 edition
I read all the monotonous AFL writings in the Advertiser
Please stick to SANFL subject matter

No. It is permissible to blame volunteers manning the Unley oval scoreboard for that one.

This week they had Mathew Lokan listed at 92kg.....possibly the weight and age columns were transposed.....
"This windfall from the Adelaide Oval decision cannot be turned into a moment when the SANFL sells off the farm to underwrite its lazy league clubs."

The person on the main board got it right this time! But the guy manning the board on the other side was wrong at half time, so a new saga can begin! :p :P
