I have definitely noticed Imps picking up a number of mid season recruits over the years, not that thats something I'd be overly critical of them about though, they're just doing what they think is the best thing for the club, and they're not the only cub to have done it - from memory I think Ramblers did it it a few years back with Jody Arnol in the 90's and Jason Rae 8 or 9 years ago. In the Standard preview a few months ago I'm fairly sure I read Collins say he wasn't interested in buying a premiership so its probably less likely to happen this year with Imps anyway.

Puckridge played as much footy as he could with commitments at Port Adelaide then came to club and stayed early 2008
Wait played as much footy as he could with commitments at port Adelaide, then he made imps his home at the start of the next season, 2009 I think?
Honnor was a preseason pick up in 2009
And yes I do back imps every year as I have been a blue for 2decades but this season there is buzz not playing awesome footy at the moment but it's only rd 9? So I have faith in the club to get up and about in next few weeks and play footy we have showed glimpses of

So does that mean mypo have recruited because they have got jones back from sturt mid way thru the year?

6 or more of the current group also played with Sturt's under 16's this year and would make up the majority of the better players - so these guys are only 15 years old!!!! You can't have them playing league footy at such a young age... I don't think there would be too many of the top age players who would be ready for A grade football.... I would think a fair majority of them will be playing B grade next year....
Age has nothing to do with it. They're either ready or not. Imps need to blood more young locals, will only help them in the long run.
You would let your 15yr old son, that doesn't have any bulk to him play a grade football against guys like Clive waterhouse, ladhams these boys then won't improve 1 because they have to get hang of speed of a 17s game then 2 they are way to small wouldn't win the 50-50ball which then there confidence will go out the window
