This is awsome! Now there is someone who could kick 100 in the season, especially with 2 extra regular season games. Go Uris!!

I get no respect. I was crossing the street. I got hit by a mobile library. I was lying there in pain, screaming. The guy looked at me. He went, "Shhhh."

big news re medows. looks like they have picked up the services of monty feijen from bridgewater. they are just awaiting the clearance from raiders. seems monty was more than happy with the professionalism at medows and the team has taken him in. money not the factor at all and is keen to play up their and will train twice a week. big signing for medows midfield and reckon that he would be handy for 3 goals a game when resting in forward line. so unfort he wont be playing at bridgy or with the indian at cbc this year.

Is this the brother of the dude who played at Sturt, or the dude that played at sturt? There's a crazy question for ya!!
Devils first trial game on sat night, expect to see all te spies out from the hills league clubs. Just remember, cricket finals may influence a few positions so we have an excuse for losing.

The Raidis brothers have played at Tailem Bend over recent years and they are handy players but AFL list is a huge surprise. Theres about three bro's so maybe got one got em all??? I'm pretty sure Michael was the only one at Tailem Last year though.

Yeah, cricket GF's will keep a few blokes out from a few teams I reckon.
Heard on the w/end that Blackwood definitely DON'T have Begley.

I'd rather be making excuses during preseason when nobody gives a **** than at the business end when you will be making excuses for losing games of lawn bowls.
There won't be any excuses from the Devils come September. It will be all smiles, Pale Ales and a big silver trophey to put next to last years!

Oh and there will be nudie runs, lots of nudie runs!!!!!!

DA - Devs gonna give it a shake then?
I'm trying to find out if this rumour re Brown is correct. That'd put Uri's well in the mix, surely.
I haven't heard much from Birdwood, have they recruited or not. Surely if they haven't, they'll get pumelled.

The Devs will be around the mark. Although, I haven't been out since busting my leg, so I really don't know.

J Brown will pull Uris right back up to the Devs I'd say. He's a gun player and the 100 goals in a season barrier isn't out of the question for him I reckon.

Birdwood have not recuited the full compliment of players - still a ruckman and quality key position player down. They've been looking since Oct/November but to prevail. I wander what they are offering and why they havent been able to secure players?
Surely its an exciting time for the club and they'd want to do well, they would've spoken to a few blokes by now??

A ruckman is a fair gap, but if that's the case plus one other key position player short, they've done better than I thought.
FM - you're right, it's an exciting time for their club, but it'd be a 5 or so year plan perhaps. Older recruits wouldn't be interested in that I wouldn't think.

Swervin Mervyn

Postby Big Fulla » Wed Mar 14, 2007 2:51 am

Hills, get ready to see the Wizard up close and personal this year. Muffy Kartinyeri is a gun and nothing short of it. He'll probably win the medal, if he can stay injury free and he'll run all day, rain, hail, snow, blizzard or shine (lees likely to be shiny).

All other talk of any other recruit is futile as Muff has been burnin up ovals since he first played for South Primary School back in Murray Bridge as a 3 foot rover. He's only grown 2 foot but try and stop that, teams been tryin for years with very little success.

Well done for coaxin him to the Hills, enjoy it while it lasts.

RMFL is closed

RMFL and Callington would not work, at the moment a bye would be more preferable than a training run, from the RMFL's perspective anyway.

Holy crap that's a big wrap!
We'll have to wait and see, Hills can be a little different to quick dry grounds.
Which Hills team got him, BF?

He is playing at Ironbank, he is a dead set gun, read some past threads though as he is a dodgy bloke aparentle. I don't kow the bloke personally but have heard plaenty of stories from different people. He takes sign on fees and runs. If this is not true I can't see him lasting any lonbger than a year or two. Which is not what Ironbank should be trying to achieve. they need players that will stick around for a few years to bring up the juniors!
How good is footy!
