The Bears were impressive. Their forwards did really well, with Smart and Benbow giving the Imps defence a bit of a run around in the last quarter. Smart's hit up leads were impressive, presented well. Benbow kicked a 'crunch' goal in last from a set shot, unexpected considering his accuracy issues, but stepped up when it counted.

There were some pretty poor non-decisions, particularly Benbow's tackle in the last quarter 20meters directly in front of goal, and the late hit on Jamie Austin across half-back after he took a mark. Should have at least been 50m penalty.

Despite that, the Bears had superior run, with Ben Gibbs, Rocket Cuneen, Payne, Brunoli, Austin, Smart and Benbow finishing the game very strong. Young Marles was handy as well. Great win for the Bears and great for the comp.

If you look at photo 38 on the following Facebook page - Encyclopedia of South Australian Country Football Clubs you'll see team photo of 1974 premiership side.

Not sure why ladhams would go down this path a suspension is a suspension. Sounds like Jervois are just clutching at straws now. Even if Ladhams played they would not beat the top 3 and they are very capable of beating the other sides with out him. Perhaps they are annoyed that they have to pay him even though he is not playing.

Did anyone read the letter to the editor in the paper today regarding Ladhams?

This guy clearly has no idea on so many levels. To suggest the report happened 2 weeks after the incident and that Joel didnt want it pursued was very un-educated but then to also write that players drive from Adelaide for a bit of fuel money?

I seriously hope he wasnt referring to Ladhams, or the rest of the players travelling from town to play footy. There would be very few in this league doing it just for petrol money.

The guy seriously needs to get a grip on reality, cant wait to see Dalwoods response to that one

Was just informed that Mypo are going to speak to the 3 coaches that coached Imps last year. Tony Fielke,David Schenscher & Damien Garrett to see if they are interested in being involved in season 2012.

Over the last 2 weeks I have read all the crap written about Chris Ladhams and as usual with this site, most of you have it wrong. It was NOT 45 metres behind play, it was in a throw-in, this was confirmed at the hearing. The please explain for Ladhams is a mistake as a Mypo supporter was abusing him !!!!!!!!!!!!! Lots of things have been misrepresented and you all have tried and hung him without knowing all the facts. Perhaps Jervois are fighting as there has been a big mistake made!!!

There's a lot more happening in River Murray Football than suspensions and tribunals.

I saw the bottom team knock off top last Saturday, an awesome result for the league. Shows how open it is on any given day.

Some big scores are being kicked, quality forwards are steppin up, and if you haven't seen Nick Wark play yet get along and have a look.

Time to move on and focus on the footy being played, there's some good games goin on, some good players gettin around from every team in the league. Get amongst it and let the suspensions 'do their time', regardless of how fair or unfair the system may seem to you.

And the silly season is upon us, 4 more weeks til clearances close for 2011, lets see what happens ;)

Well said Big Fulla!!!

Didnt notice nick wark when we played tailem cos I was to in love with the O'Love story!

RMFL is looking good, I would say that potentially there are 5 or maybe 6 teams that could take out the comp on their day. Still probably the top three are Imps, Ramblers & Mannum but I wouldnt discount Tailem or as silly as it sounds Meninge.

Ferenchi for Meninge a massive boost, would love to see them running at the top

Its been spoken about in a few circles that the 2010 Mail Medallist is headin back to Mypo. Big plus for them if it actually happens. And good for the league, another quality player gettin around brings people back to the footy.
