Hence the SANFL gets nothing for its licence, Port get exactly what it originally wanted for nothing, We all have the huge costs of Adelaide Oval to cover as a community in the hope that Port come out of this clean skinned (Politically) and have a huge following.

That's been my feeling all along - waste of money going to AO & it won't fix the problem of 'neutrals' not supporting them & yes, they get what they originally set out to achieve.

my god how do you sleep at night with these sort of theories.
the adelaide oval will release both SA based AFL clubs away from the SANFL relying on its profits to support it. the land sale will generate money so the sanfl can support itself. and the afl clubs will keep all of their own cash.
Answer this if port is such a burden on the sanfl why dont they hand back the licence and cut their losses??? it may have something to do with the fact that the sanfl make money out of port

Are Port in the car, behind the grassy knoll or in the book depository?

Why would fairly sane people front up to watch an average to poor entertainment / sport ( Gayfl ) , pay ridiculous amounts of money for car parking , food , drinks , tickets etc. all timetabled to suit corporatised TV ? Stay home watch it until it is obvious whos going to win or it gives you the shits listening to umpires justify themselves , tune in to something better that costs you next to nothing ..... and go watch SANFL , if only because Vlad Demetrio hates our comp. :) Wake up people its us against them , thats what its really all about . Dog eat dog , because the Gayfl wouldnt blink twice if the SANFL fell over , they would just start a poxy little ressie comp , put it on pay TV and make money on the ads ! 134 years of history down the toilet and they would do it like it was no big deal ! If you doubt me , look how nicely SACA worked Vlad behind the SANFLs back last year

No more questions your honour .Time to go Andy and finally people are waking up. Cash your cheque and run boofhead. The man has no concept about strengtening the game ,he is just concerned abouut TV rights hence his bonus structure on top of his grossly inflated wage. Wouldnt mind an old fashioned "town hall" meeting with Andy boy to field our concerns. No media influence and control just an open discussion , I sense he may not be keen what real footy followers think though somehow.Lose the people Andy , lose the game . I know things change etc etc but footy has been ruined withh the advent of the AFL and money. Greedy VIC clubs started , the SANFL were not smart enough to stop it and Port tried to get a share of it but had no vision just hope and it hasn't worked due to the greedy AFL.

Again... wasn't this foreseen 25 years ago by Basheer & Whicker?

This was the reason we didn't join when the West did - we are reaping what was sowed.
At the risk of labouring a point ( I admit I can be somewhat guilty of that  ) - this is exactly the problem with the plan hatched by Bruce Webber & Ross Oakley.
The rushed way the Adelaide Crows were 'born'.

Ever heard the term "Birds come home to roost"?

BTW... I have spent too much time reading alot of posts today & think we actually have agreement about our annoyance with both the Dimetriou & the SANFL Bosses allowing this situation to arise. The time for action rather than words has arrisen IMHO. I do like the idea of hitting them in National Exposure times (Foxtel Cup, Stand Alone Games etc.) If the bikies can combine to fight for a common cause, why can't we?

1.5 billion is alot of money. Fair whack of it will be spent on junior and non traditional areas. If the AFL aren't spending money on the next generation of footballers, they won't be getting inflated wages and bonuses in the future.
