Do people back each way or for win only normally? Just had $600 eachway on the previous winner at Belmont and I am now 4th but if I went win only I would be way infront. What are your thoughts?

I cant get into it..... seriously to punt at a meeting all day to have a 50 in 1 chance to win $2.....then its not even $2 real money....its only $2 tournament money/ entry into the next competition.
To win big you would have to enter in the big competions (which there arent many with big numbers). And if you look like winning because all the others have bombed out someone can caome in at the last race and beat you......

Im afraid I would send you broke pretty quick MT
my stratergy is to throw it all on anything in the first race then if I get a hit ill put some effort into the next race, you go straight out alot but with so many meets each day you will get a winner or 2 each day.
As for being a waste of time, your not going to get rich but it is a bit of fun like a crossword or sodoku
I did find it a little distracting from my other betting last saturday when I was doing the doomben cash tournement but sometimes its good to have a disraction
