Disgrace that Matt Kluzek did not get a gig. Ron Fuller must have picked the side. Alot of good players missed out. You are never going to make everyone happy, after all its just the opinion of the selectors. Jason Sziller love him to tears but batting above his average to make that side.

The selection panel was Kurt Slaven, Rex Sellers, Shane Reardon and Bruce Winter.

Compared to the original team of the decade, 9 players are different. 6 of these had to be when you took into account the 50 match qualification (technically 5 because Prymke played 54 matches, but 7 of those were night series).

They are (without night series matches)
Shayne Breuer 27
Paul Bulluss 21
Brett Burton 28 (23 up to 2000)
Scott Camporeale 14
Glenn Freeborn 24
Paul Prymke 47

So, of course, these players that replace them come from those who primarily played between 2001 and 2010. I'd have thought that Passador (club leading goalkicker), Cicolella, McKenzie and Lindsay would be walk up starts for four of those six when the side was considered.

Taylor, Pyman and Adam Pearce were the unlucky players not to be selected in the revised side but were in the 1991-2000 side. I certainly would have thought Taylor for sure would have been in the side. Also, either Matthew or Chris Kluzek had to be pushing for a place. If Chris did not have those knee troubles, he could have been the full-forward of the side, given he was just 23 when he retired, and already had 182 goals to his name.

Andrew Taylor will always be in our best side of the last two decades and anyone who thinks not , have a look at yourself and wake up ! Better yet keep believing Neil Craig can coach

If you look back on the team of the decade he missed there as well, so no great surprise to see him miss this team.

Not a bad couple of sides although I would have thought the Kluzek boys were good enough to make it and also Wiggins as the ruck whom I rate as the best ruck they have had in that period.

Paul Lindsay is clearly the most deserving of the ruck role after all he dominated the SANFL as a whole for a number of years

Cue spelly, in terms of total goals scored - maybe provide a list of the top 5 of all time. I believe it would be Passador but followed by who?
