Round 11 - Teams, Trades & Discussion

Postby White Line Fever » Mon May 30, 2011 3:38 pm

Tendai Mzunga is just about everyones downgarde this week.

My interest this week is upgrading my defense...

Based on average points Sam Fisher is the best performer this year (but 20th overall not many good dfender premiums this year)

Only 6 DEF players have avgd over 100..

Fisher
Scotland
Delidio
Shaw
Adcock
Newman

I have none!!!
I've got 14 trades left too, how many has everyone else got?

14 trades left at this stage, will probably use 2 more this week as im trading out libba (118 b/e wont be achieved against geelong, and probably an upgrade of either conca, pittard or harris to a premium.

I've only got 14 trades left. I think I'll save them this week despite Newman/Deledio with the bye, Goddard doubtful and Sandilands and Tapscott injured.

After Harris and Conca spudded it up on the weekend, I realised the importance of having at least 5 midfield premiums ASAP. Will upgrade one of them fo sho.

Was thinking of doing Liberatore --> Pendlebury even thought Collingwood have the bye in a few weeks and Tapscott/Jones --> Franklin, but then I miss out on Mzungu. Or could hold off on Pendlebury until rd14 and do a Mzungu / Franklin double this week.

That seemed to catch a few out which I think was unlucky. Add Libba to that list that others started. There was no sign that those 3 would all score sub 40 in the one week.

Ok, what are your thoughts guys.

I have Adcock, Goddard, Deledio, Enright, Gibbs and Fisher in the backline (Lower, Puopolo, Batchelor and Toy)

and Riewoldt, Riewoldt, Franklin, Pavlich, Goodes (Mzungu, Darling, Lynch and Richardson) in the forwards.

Mids are sorted, 6 premiums with Bewick, Hibberd and Smith on bench.

Rucks are Cox and Sandi, Smith and Bailey on bench.

Do I:

Complete my backline and bring in either Shaw or Scotland

Add another gun forward for Darling (Chappy will be very well priced shortly)

Or just sit for a few weeks?

Sorry forgot Petrie in the FWD's too.

6 premium mids: Swan, Selwood, Mitchell, Swallow (A), Judd and Boyd.

12 trades left, which leads me to sit this week. I wanted my team sorted as quickly as possible, which is why I traded during the 3 bye rounds.

Mzungu to float between the FWD's and Mids as required, same Hibberd with Mids and backs (for Gibbs/Goddard/Deledio)

Yep sit tight for a couple of rounds. Look to upgrade the remaining starting rookies after a couple more teams have had both of their byes.

You have accumulated that side and you are asking others what to do
Is it worthwhile moving on Sandilands as you have coverage and freeing up cash to potentially upgrade a forward and a defender?
For every one I miss I am closer to a hole in one.

I think Masha is cheating the salary cap!

Would be interested to see how you managed to accumulate all those players? A job well done!

I'm tempted to trade Dangerfield for Barlow, at least I know what I'm going to get each week for Barlow, Dangerfield is the most frustrating player in my team.

Looking for thoughts on the following:

Duigan has a B/E of 80. I want to get Deledio but Richmond have the bye. Do I just take the hit and get Deledio now or take the risk of Duigan not getting his B/E and upgrade a forward for either Franklin, Chappy or Fyfe?

Talk about a greedy gun! Duigan should score well against Port surely. Why trade in a guy to sit on your bench this week just to save a couple of grand. Who says Duigan can't score 80? The REBCats selectors will be backing the Norwood man to make 70 this week. Got Puopolo and Lower as well go Legs!
