Tipping after Round 4 (Up to date):

DJD 22 (5)
Iron Knob 20 (5)
Tiger07 20 (5)
Eags 20 (6) perfect!
Bombers Boy 19 (4)
Ken Whelan Fan 19 (5)
Overloaded 19 (5)
Boston Bay Everyday 18 (3)
Westcoastpanther 18 (5)
Media Park 17 (5)
MP 17 (4)
Old Son 16 (5)
Carmelo Anthony 15 (4)
Cove07 15 (4)
Barksoff 12 (did not tip)

So Tasmans Frick kicked ten goals, and Mallee Park had Kingsley (8), Mooney (6), and Mallee (5- including four in one quarter), among others...

Despite all the crap that has been said around town, and posted on here, watching Byron Pickett yesterday, he laid only legal bumps, but was largely ineffectual (aside from a burst at the end of the first quarter).

Play on.

Is he that good then Fred? There's been huge raps on Miegel at Marble Range as the biggest IN to a side this year...

Saw Frick a couple of weeks ago and he looked OK. TFC have a star studded fwd six and he is probably 3rd or 4th in line. Ten goals not only underlines his ability but the roosters depth.
Saw Miegel yesterday, and is he a player! 6'4"+ with arms twice the length as normal. Thought Kayz had an evenish duel with him early, but he definately pantsed him in the third. The MR midfield got some clean footy into fwd 50, and managed to stick it on his head. Probably cluncked 5-6 big ones in that quarter alone. Hyphen went onto him for the last 35 mins and definately quelled his influence.

Would be happy to have either in the dees fwd 50.

Being involved first hand, yes he is a good footballer, makes the most of his opportunities(10.1 on the weekend), strong on a lead.
Some food for thought, Tasmans kicked 20:16, about 5 or 6 out the fulls, And probably 20 times where we were able to clear the ball without them scoring so....IF they had roughly 60 inside fiftys kicking to 2 targets(Tonks and Frick) Tonks being a little off colour and maybe getting only 5 or 6 touches all day. Frick had every opportunity to kick a bag. Being spoon fed by Semmler, Seal, James, Campbell, Cima.
Should he have kicked more?
I think the Souths defence held up quite well all things considered.

The condition of Centenary oval was great yesterday and a pleasure to play on

I know it was someone smoking in the toilets that caused the evac. Have not heard much about this YET.

Interesting comments Steak, Was Jericho carrying an injury?
Cima certainly had the better of him early before he was shifted.
To be fair to Tonkin thats his first A grade game and he got better as the day
wore on. What was a worry was the lack of support that the Eagles had at the ground
At the breaks they had two maybe three supporters out there not a good sign for the Eagles.
Fricks 10 not a bad effort considering he was only filling in at FF to cover a couple of injuries :D
With regards to the Fire incident the player was allegedly filming the Firies when one took exception
and a struggle broke out being Dand D he was taken into custody and relaesed without charge.
Needless to say the TFC will not be impressed

Had two security on at Ravendale I think they managed to "arrest"
two patrons who came in from the Netball side.
And then upset two more who actually had season passes which hadnt been punched
because the PLFL hadnt supplied the gate keepers with a hole punch.
Now that the league has taken over the gate out there because the VP of the League
doesnt trust Ravendale or Hockey who the heck runs the gate after 4.00pm ?
Hockey runs until 9.00pm I guess its free
Seriously Cant we please get our sh!t together Just charge $5.00 for everyone
and the problem is solved.

A very comical incident late in the centenary game saturday. A demon player took mark 30 out and was felled after. Umpire rushes in to take contol and a mini mellee ensues. Nothing in it but bit of push and shove. Said umpire reaches into his sock and the crowd expects a yellow card or two....proceeds to flash a bright green pen at the group of players. I assume he was saying "I have a pen and not afraid to use it"..or something to that degree. Worked better than any card...

They put up temp fence and bunting across the access. I dont know why they bother the league would have spent more on wages than they recouped on the weekend. If its truly a security issue in response to the events of last year, then just have security guards at games where there is a genuine risk of unruly behaviour. we havent even discussed the extra cost of providing these guys at Wangary especially with travel/vehicle costs, should Rangers have to bear this cost?
I dont think so!

In the spirit of putting the past behind us, I doubt the PLFL would simply say "BFC/MPFC only".

And that money that the PLFL clubs lose ends up in the Veep's pocket in extra wages...

Double dipping his Veep role with security work...

I think the main problem is the lack of suitable gate keepers. Not everyone has fingers with a rigid middle joint and that amazing ability to drop the dollar change three inches from your outstretched palm.

I disagree with the Veep on most issues and the security is certainly one of them. I am surprised this got through the meeting but clubs were concerned with alcohol being brought into the ground and we have responded to your requests I suppose. How can one gaurd be expected to watch the whole oval / road/ dirt area near waybacks for people crossing from football to netball. Is he serious?

Does PL footy really need the Tigers, after last years efforts I'd say no. It's a bye anyway, might as well just call the day off and go fishing!![/quote]
