Round 10 - Port v Sturt @ Football Park - 12.45pm Sun 5/6/11

Postby bayman » Sun May 29, 2011 7:11 pm

Can sturt playing against port with a pro-port crowd get up for the win ? i doubt it, i believe sheedy will still be missing with a shoulder while i can't see ebert going to the power so i reckon port will win easily, say about 6 goals.
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

How many of the PAP fans do you think give more than a casual thought about the Magpies? The only way the crowd would be predominantly Port is if no Blues fans show up.

Would be interesting if Port lost a narrow one (not that I see this happening). Next year they might reconsider sacrificing the Alberton advantage.

Not sure the Magpie portion of the "one club" are happy having to do what their big brother wants in an attempt to improve crowds for the Power. I dont think the Power really care, they got the Hotel they wanted and are just paying lip service to the SANFL and the Magpies.

Might be a case of one port v one sturt with carlton wearing their light blue away outfits.
Very interesting too see attendance going head to head with socceroos, im tipping AO's crowd to be a fair bit bigger

I reckon it's pretty crappy that unless you're a season ticket holder you have to pay more for entry. This is before taking into account car parking etc. I'd be a bit peeved if I were a Sturt or Port supporter that didn't care for the AFL.

Port v Carlton has had over 30,000 the last few times we've played here so it might be close.
Might be a few less this time though because the last few have been on a Saturday IIRC. Late game on a Sunday will stop a few travelling Carlton supporters.

Certainly will BP. It's a bit of a long day for Junior Voice and Princess Voice but they'll be joining me for the late game.
Quite a few Sturt people still go for Carlton so hopefully it's a better turn out than what was there for the Port v Norwood curtain raiser.

I'm going but will only stay for some of the Carlton game... priority for me is the Socceroos game!

That said... Port v Sturt... Port 31-40...

We've had the Power Community Youth programme in at school the past couple of weeks. Every kid is given a family pass which they may or may not use. But assuming they do, 4 classes in one school is 120 families. And presumably they go to LOTS of schools.

Does anyone know what time they start charging for parking?
