Yes, Alan Jeans once said no matter what you think about Brereton you should never question his courage because he could dish it out, but when it came his turn to take it, he never took a backward step. This was so true, and it was no coincidence that he played in such a successful era at Hawthorn. A brilliant player in an era when aggression wasn't a dirty word.

i agree with ya AH,great player who would take the game and his opponents on.Loved watching him play except when he played SA.
