Getting very tired of having my desk covered in mouse **** every week.

The neighbours have recently removed about 20 odd metres of grape vine from their side of our shared fence. The rats had invaded our shed and I hate them. Really hate them.

But I rate bumping into an old mate who works in pest control now and seeing him last night to get a big box full of baits to spread around the shed. I hope it is long, slow and painful....

I hate rats. Hate.
I've caught 3 in past month via traps, 2 had to be bludgeoned by yours truly.
I avoid bait due to dogs.

We've never had rats before - but the cats have been catching baby ones lately.
And - when I cleaned out the exhaust fans in the roof there was rat poo on them!
Wasn't happy Jan!!

Is there a rat plague happening or something?

PS: Those baits might kill them, but if they die somewhere unwanted look out - not a great smell...lol

The place I work is only 4 years old. Lovely building, problem is the stand alone glass sliding doors. Look fantastic - unfortunately they have a half inch gap at the bottom of them providing easy access for mice, with absolutely no way of pest proving them.

Hence setting and emptying traps mouse traps is now part of my job (because I'm the only male on staff and the ladies won't have a go near it).

Twice in the past fortnight when rocking up at work have been greeted by half rats with their entrails hanging out .. Still can't decide if Im happy with it, or would have preferred the Cat to lose the fight .. Regardless, 2 less rats to bother us.
