Just saw that too. All games with Rosewater, Pulteney OS and Para Hills have been changed around.

Hadn't heard anything about Rosewater struggling. I'm not really a fan of the bye either but if it happens we'd have it Rounds 1 & 10, which isn't gonna help us as we'd have Round 8, Long Weekend, Round 9, Bye.

Im guessing Rosewater are staying in D4 - that fixture was updated this morning, unless the league has given them more time.
How are your mob looking Pag ? From what im told you guys have a young team.

We're looking OK Felch. Still very young though. Got a couple of guys about 30, maybe 3-4 about 26-27 and the rest would be under 23. A lot of us haven't played A4 before so we're really not sure what to expect. How you boys looking out there?

We are in a similar boat to you - young side. We really havent lost anyone from last year, picked up a couple of extras. Our depth was our biggest issue last year - if we copped any injuries, we were basically stuffed - the b grade had very little to offer the higher grade. Hopefully we have improved in this area - i think we have, we have good numbers on the track(30-40 most nights).
D4 was hard to gauge last year - Sals West were miles ahead of anyone else, CBCOC were a good side too. The rest were very even. To give you an idea, with 4 games to go, we were staring relegation in the face - in the end we missed the finals by a game ! That was after losing at least a dozen A graders from the 2005 team, maybe more. In my opinion, if we could have fielded our 2005 side in D4 in 2006, we would have made the finals easy, probably top 3. And dont forget, we finished bottom of D3 in 2005. Should be an interesting comp. I would say if you blokes havent lost too many players, then you will be around the mark.

We've lost 3 or 4 from the side we played the second half of last year with, Eddie bought a couple who look alright so we might be a little behind the squad we had last year, but a lot of us who are 18-19 will be better for the year we had last year. If you guys have kept Heffernan, he'd be a decent positive. I remember playin Portland in '04 and '05 and the nucleus of the side wasn't too bad. Obviously with Marshall, Virgin and Sajatovic leaving it leaves a bit of a hole. Are Johnny DePalma and Tyson Odegard still out there? I'd think you guys would make the 5, hopefully along with us, North Haven will be there, maybe Pooraka one of either Para Hills or Mitcham?

Yeah, Heff is back with us from Gepps. And you are right Marshy, Virg and Saj leave huge voids, but you never know, these guys could be back in teal jumpers in 08. Depalma and Tyson are both playing this year. Ty played at Seaton last year, so its great to get him back. Depalma kicked 40-odd goals last year for us, hes looking fit (not sure why, he doesnt leave the goal square!!!). I would hope we will be around the mark, i reckon Unley might be ok too. Haven would have to be early favs though, especially with a million dollar budget, hey Demps ?

Agreed about North Haven. Haven't heard much about Unley, Pulteney, Mitcham or Para Hills. Couldn't be good for Ingle Farm to have a caoching change at the end of January. Pooraka have lost Watts back to country Victoria and Coghill to Willaston bu they've picked a couple up and a couple who missed last year with injury/work are playing again. I'm guerssing if Rosewater are struggling to fill two sides they'll struggle.

Do you play Felch or just an interested onlooker?

Don't let Pag be modest, the kid should be at a league club! Would be a reserves regular at Centrals without trying, league in the next couple of years with the right amount of commitment. Don't bring up the politics of the club either Pag - that's long gone and you could do worse than giving it a try...

Pulteney's games have probably been changed beacause the first 18 fixtures have been released. In case you guys didn't know we share the same ground for home games and our back up oval is a piece of shite

Pag, We have picked up a couple of outsiders (so Ive heard, haven't been to training yet) plus some OS who have returned from other clubs and only lost a couple from our best side. It would be nice to finish higher than sixth for a change.

Didn't say he was doing it unfairly, I remember just trying to get in his way at a couple of stoppages, and being the skinny 15 year old I was at the time, I was the one to end up on my ass...

Dont worry about Newman, Pag, he was having a crack at me , not you. I knew if i mentioned Marshall's name , he would come in like the tide - Newman and Marshall seem to have some kind of intimate relationship going on.
