[quote="gadj1976"]West Coast.....how is there resurrection going over there? That's a huge turn around from last year because at the end of the year they were terrible.

Injuries hurt West Coast big time last year like it hurt Essendon.

Both teams are performing well, but it should be the case as the draft enables teams who finish down or near the bottom to get first choices when picking the best youngsters, and it generally goes in cycles.

Having glass back helps them considerably. Cox and Kerr ensures cover for priddis who is a gun.

I'm more hopeful than confident that we'll make the eight. Our best is good enough, but I'm not yet convinced that we'll show our best enough to earn a spot. Missing key defenders will also hurt more as the year goes on.

We are looking better though, our midfield with Cotchin, Martin, Deledio, Jackson, Foley etc is pretty solid now, add Conca to that mix after a year or two learning his craft at half-back, and it's pretty good.

Richmond still look a bit suspect away from Melbourne and the Tiger army .. They have taken big strides though and I'd expect them to keep taking them - Perhaps a bit soon for finals just yet (although not out of the question).

I confidently tipped Port Adelaide to beat Richmond. For nearly 30 years the Tigers have been a one step forward, two steps back team. Just when they appear to be turning the corner they let their supporters (and tipsters who get sucked in by them) down.
