Nothing weird about breaking a blokes jaw 40m off the play Wedgie! Deserves exactly what he got.

Congrats to the commission for standing firm on a precedent set last year =D>

I tend to agree with you Goldy on this one job well done by the board on what sounded like a nasty incident.

So let me get this straight, it took 10 days to set up the tribunal and just 2 to set up the appeal

There are really good reasons why this has occured. Tribunals only occur Tuesdays and Appeals Thursdays. Overall the League always tries to act as quickly as possible.

So there is a rule/law that they have to be on these set days. Would the same process have taken place in GF week? I would like to hope not. 10 days to the tribunal to me is not acting quickly

Its a really tough situation for everyone involved I think. Jervois will now be without a coach for 8 weeks (unless something happens at the appeal). As previously stated, he's not allowed to hold any official place within the club on Saturdays, & not even allowed in the changerooms if held to the letter. But can he speak to the players in the carpark etc? These are some of the problems, not only Jervois, but the clubs they play during this time will have to deal with.

I would really like someone to explain, just what he can & cant do for this period. As you hear stories about cherry pickers etc, but surely he is still allowed to be at the games? Maybe not? Could someone shed any light on this.

On the one occasion that I was reported, I was also the coach of the team. Once I had received my penalty I had to ask the commisioner permission to be able to continue as coach of my club. The commissioner granted me permission to coach but I was not allowed to set foot on the oval at any stage during the game. Quarter time and three quarter time huddles were held on the boundary and I had to walk all the way around the oval at half time to get to the changerooms. However I only received a two match penalty, on a more serious charge I may not have been granted permission to continue coaching.
I'm reading a book about anti-gravity. I can't put it down.

Hahaha you obviously weren't there were you gold? Wasn't 40m off the ball, I was there and saw it, was in a throw in, both going for the ball and a bump to the jaw. That's why umpires didn't report it.

The incident you are talking about, was not the one in which Joels jaw was broken! I am not going to get into a slinging match here mate, but the results speak for themselves.

Goldy was there another incident in which another player had their jaw broken or just Joel Kays. Reading previous comments and then reading your last comment to me it sounded like he broke another Ramblers player jaw aswell.

It is my understanding he is still allowed to coach just not allowed on the oval. So either the team will come to him at quarter time and 2 quarter time or someone else will take the huddles.

Wow you need some reading lessons then dude

He could be referring to the fact that Ladhams should have been sent of 5 minutes earlier for striking aswell.
Or the fact that the incident occured of the ball and the ball then returned quickly around where they both were and Joel tried to continue playing
It was gutless no matter which way it is looked at and a player of that reputation should be ashamed that he has let the jervois mentality rub of on him

Imperials v Meningie - can't see Meningie getting over the top of a Blues team on a roll at the moment, Imps by over 120points, call me silly if you want but meningies defense struggled rd 1 and now add an inform trewin and honor and I can see imps breaking the 30goal barrier again.

Mypolonga v Jervois - Jervois's chance is all up to the descion tonight and ladhams challenge, he defently won't play but if he can coach they are a slight chance if not that would be end of yr for jervois and won't win till rd 15. Mypo by 7goals

Ramblers v Mannum - for once the small ramblers ground will suit the opposition well, the fat unfit guys at mannum will get more of the ball and with outs in the ramblers side again I see mannum winning by 45points
