The reason why we have ended up so strong as a whole was develpoing our juniors the right way and allowing them to grow as footballers
The fact that they've been so successful without having to recruit extensively and use full allocation of points, shows that they have a big advantage in terms of juniors available to them.
Sorry GWW, I think you're above statement is slightly hipicritical! Yes they have better numbers of juniors, but that does not always translate into better A Graders. Plus Tailem have won 2 of the last 3 u/17 Premierships haven't they?
Tailem of the 90's- Downs' Hattams, Connollys, Tomkinsons, Grantham, Hansons,
Ramblers have just gone or going through one of those Golden era's where they have a heap of Talented lads, all locals, & mostly clubs names.
Ramblers of the 00's- O'neils, Cowlands, Weylands, Rumbelows, Jacksons, Buttons & Dougall
Draw the line & stick to it!
The max points allocation should not be touched!
-Clubs are hardly finding the money needed now to use all of their points, without over spending
-Clubs go through flows of success, maybe instead of quick fixes, LONG TERM PLANS are needed.
-Are Tailem on the right track? Yes in my opinion, should they get more points? NO in my opinion. Go with what u have, retain your players next year & you should have an extra 5(or however many pointed players you have) points up your sleave.
