Trying to pre-empted anything that you may or may not do in that situation in pointless. Until you are put in that situation you would not know how you would react.

Spur of the moment reaction that I dont think anyone can blame him for. He didn't like what he heard, he made that clear.

I'd do the same, perhaps not in the same manner, but I'm not one to bite my tongue.

Yes, considering swaddling is wrapping in a tight manner and the fact I was wearing a loose fitting if not baggy Kenyan rugby top (which he described as North Adelaide colours) you'd have to wonder what Graham was on about?
His reporting of the incident is about as accurate as his prediction of how many people we'd get to the Rooster Rally in 2003!
I can see why Graham doesn't drink as his memory and judgement is pretty ordinary as it is!

Wondered if this would be bought up.

Footy's a game and no one, players or spectators, should expect to be laughed at if they get hurt. Says more about the person doing the laughing IMHO.

That more people agree with Cornes is the really funny point here. :D

You must have missed the part on friday night when a heap of norwood supporters were giving it to lokan when he was crunched and limping around on the wing

Cornes is simply pushing the piss weak AFL answer to everything, remove all character from the game. Sit in a nice seat and clap without too much enthusiasm. Give me the SANFL anyday over that politically correct crap from accross the border and the two insipid "clubs" and supporters that are the stinking spawn of the AFL that were forced on the SA football public. OOOHH someone swore at me I need counselling

Here's an article about a Footy injury where no one at the time thought there was anything to it. Some people were probably even making 'quips'.

http://www.collingwoodfc.com.au/tabid/5 ... wsid=56266

Tell his family it's ok to make 'quips' then get back to me and let me know how you get on.

Maybe at the same time you could also ask Barrie his thoughts on the matter too, I'm sure the SCG would have absolutely packed up when Matthews hit him late if Wedgie had have been there.

Don't worry, you missed it by more.

If Cornes was really intent on eliminating undesirable he'd be writing about the face tattooed freaks who were threatening violence near children and swearing when not standing with their beer swilling Port Power buddies. They were closer to Cornes than I was, in fact Cornes was egging them on.

At the end of the day if you want to eliminate me as an undesirable there will be about 5 people at the ground every week as I've encountered hundreds of thousands who have said worse/acted worse at the footy. God, I went to the Power home game on Saturday, you could knock that crowd down from 16k to 1k if you got rid of the undesirables there! And that 1k would be the Freo and North supporters that were there!

Now move on kiddies or I'll get abusive and violent.

Not so sure I missed the point.

Your mate mick seemed to suggest it was foul (swearing) language that upset Cornes, was that the case? Seems like it was the comment directed at the injured lad, not any swearing that was the catalyst for his behaviour.

I guess you blokes need to stick together though. :D

LMAO - Even I'm surprised you managed to bring Port supporters into this one.

A media personality and a real personality?
Cornsey was pretty well the same in both when I talked to him though!
Arrogant, ignorant and a fool. ;)

PS Apologies if he's improved the last few years on the radio, haven't listened for a long long time. I reckon it might have been 2003 after he stuffed up so badly in underestimating the Rooster Rally!

Perhaps I should have said "OOOHHH, someone abused/taunted me I need counselling" Cornes is trying to push the sterile characterless AFL philosophy onto the SANFL. As far as sticking together with Wedgie, that is crap, if someone else from here even one of your Port mates (the black and white ones not the turquoise ones) copped similar from Cornes I would stick up for them too.

Mick said Cornes got upset because you swore.

I said I dont think it was the swearing that upset him and Mick had missed the point if he thought that's what upset Cornes.
