Who was on Thomas in that last term ?????? He was continually left on his own out wide at the centre bounce. Disgraceful coaching!

No one I don't think. If Thompson doesn't get three, Thomas is the only person who can take them from him

Good for 3/4 but I doubt VB, Douglas and Rielly can give enough support to Thommo.

Haha, you are a deadset spud ! Did you ever stop to think that some Craigy's ideas may have put us in the winning position in the first place ? As FS said, i was never comfortable at any stage today either - i always had that feeling that the Magpies were only a quick burst away from rolling us. We played well above ourselves for 3 quarters, and dropped off terribly in the last. You get those kind of performances with kids. Still lots of upside from today.

Hand in your membership now Tiger, or do us a favour and change your team listing to someone else - that way your dribble will at least be deleted from this thread ! And we wonder why Crows supporters get a bad name !

Mrs Tex took the juniors out for the afternoon so I was actually able to watch the entire game today uninterrupted and for three quarters was really pleased with our efforts. I actually though that we had i when we kicked the goal in the last. Collingwood are a class outfit and to take it to them for three quarters with the current list and inexperience I was happy with. Nobody wants to see us get belted in the last quarter but the signs are definitely there.

Was good to see S Mac take some contested marks around the ground today. I still dont think we have the FWD system 100% right but it massively depends on the run and carry through the MID which we did very very well for the first half. We competed well in the 3rd as they started to build momentum. Jacobs is improving and seems to be a very good trade so far.

The Truck down back is still getting the job done and him and stiffy keep working their ass of for us.

Yeah no worries chimp. You constantly come on here and bag AFC threaten to stop supporting them so that shows what type or supporter you are.

What moves should have craigy have made? throw Roo in the guts or Edwards..... cattle isnt there atm to compete with the midfield of the pies. And we arent alone. Anyone outside of the top 4 struggles to run with them for 4qtrs. You cant keep quality teams down for 4qtrs unless you have a quality experienced side like Geelong. Momentum is a powerful thing, and they sure had that in the last qtr. What could have craigy down to stop Daisy's torp in the last, Krakour snapping them out his thring hole and sitting on players heads, pendles kicking them from 55. Thats footy!

You and a few others constantly focus on the negatives while the way our squad is forming and performing is fantastic. We could be sitting 16 or 17 but we are competing and developing every game.

Ginger where are you? we need come commonsense and perspective on here

Ha! Why thankyou.

Pretty simple really. The kids threw everything including the kitchen sink at the reigning premiers but in the end just didn't have the tanks to go with them.

I'm bitterly dissappointed by that final scoreline, but at the same time I'm pretty proud of the way the went about it today. When this group get some miles into their legs they are going to be up there. They played with some serious passion today, and that's all I ask as a supporter. I've said it all season so far - I reckon even by the end of this season we will see them taking some serious scalps.

We've got a good month with some winable games coming up now. If we can make round 12 with at least 6-6 win loss record we're a chance for finals.

Agree with you 100 percent Ginger ! It'll all come together as experience builds.
What I saw today is very exciting for the future. We held up this awesome machine for three quarters and ten minutes. That's progress.
And we can make the 2011 finals from here.

bloody kids, but the kids grow up to be men pretty quickly in this envirenment, and we have plenty of them. on ave how old are our mids and fringe mids?cmon guys, in 3 years, if we are still 12th best team, then start calling for heads, but please have some patience. its gunna be an exciting time when these blokes have 100 games in them, and if we get run over by the pies like we did today. u will be vindicated!

Dissappointing result in the end but the young kids will learn a lot from the loss!

Credit must go to Collingwood. They were unstoppable in that last quarter. It was like watching a replay of the Bulldogs game a few weeks earlier!

Thompson was outstanding and i thought Reilly and Sloane were great in the first half.

Brodie Smith keeps impressing as does Jaensch in the backlines, uses the ball so well!

Johncock and Rutten outstanding once again, Truck gave Cloke a bath!

Young Jack was a bit out of his depth this week i thought but he will be better for the experience.

Some good signs, I loved how we tried to use the middle as much as possible. We still need to work on delivery into the forward line though and consistancy now is the key!

Reckon we've got to use Jacobs better too. He still won his fair share of taps in the last, but the Pies just kept sharking it.

I think our midfielders are too used to having a ruckman who can't get his hands on it.

Not sure if it showed up on TV, but at the ground at the start of the last quarter myself and everyone around me thought the centre bounce had clearly gone out of the centre circle and gave collingwood a huge advantage. whilst it was only two/three bounces it was enough to give collingwood some momentum and didn't they just run away with it from there. The last quarter saw collingwoods down hill skiiers come out to play to ride on Daisy Thomas' coat tails who was clearly their best player all day.

A pleasing effort from the crows and as i mentioned before the game we are well suited to their style of hugging the boundary. Our next step in the development of this team is to stop the run in the midfield when oppositions take us on. against melbourne and then in the last 15 mins against the pies yesterday their run through the middle and our inability to stop it is really concerning but will come with experience.

The centre bounces went to Collingwood's advantage about six or seven times from late in the third quarter and into the last. Certainly noticeable. Can't do anything about that though!

know you cant do anything about it, thats probably why it is so annoying. it just gave them that sniff and it was all they needed. as has been said before though definitely more positives then negatives out of todays game.

Isn't he the goal kicking coach down at Collingwood?

Agreed Hefty - the way he was pumping up the Pies in the 3rd when actually Adelaide was doing pretty well to absorb their pressure just gave me the shits.

Fair enough to get excited in the last, but at that stage it was still a 50/50 game.

Worst comentator going around! I find myself thinking 'am i watching the same game as this bloke'. Pendlebury had a shot 50m out in the 3rd, BT says as he is running in to kick, "Tambling running into to kick at goal". I pushed rewind on the IQ to make sure i wasnt hearing things. Pendlebury >>>> Tambling

I struggle to put up with Chris Ditz-mar and Bruce Abercrombie during the breaks.
Ditz said Daisy kicked that torp goal from 65m out when he clearly kicked it from the 50m paint. Lol
