Agree, when they fall because of the fences, but in this case and one other they fell on the flat, not while jumping - could happen to any horse in a paddock
it does dutchy & more horses die in paddocks than at race meetings from various things such as snake bite, spider bite, running through a barbed wire fence & cutting an artery or two, i know of a very good pacer in the mid 80's called barrarata trained by steve allen who was spelling & got stuck in the mud & died.....but we don't hear of these things do we ?
