Round 9 vs Fremantle

Postby Hazbeen » Fri May 20, 2011 3:30 pm

Saturday 2:10 at AAMI

In : Pittard

Out : D.Stewart

Is Schulz fit? also doubt over Carlile.

Who comes in if either or both are ruled out? surely Chad gets a go somewhere in the 22.

Chad would come in for Schulz, yes.

Got a good feeling about this one. They rarely beat us here. I think we can win this one, they're decimated with injuries so we might be able to snaffle a win here.

Port by 12 points.

Schultz has pulled up ok and is playing. Carlisle in some doubt with flu, but if he doesn't play then O'Shea will take his spot.

With rain likely, I'm not sure how that will affect today's game, hopefully it doesn't finish up like the Richmond match last year :( Given Freo's improved form the last few years, I wouldn't normally rate our chances but with their injury list I think we're a reasonable chance and its probably a 50/50 game. I'll tip a draw.

The Power are simply terrible atm and will probably win another match or two b4 the end of the year although i've got nfi which ones as they'll start the outsider in every game for the rest of the season.

Choco coached well in his first 5 or 6 years at the club. However his last 5 or 6 years as coach he let standards drop dramatically and the repercussions in terms of player attitude, and the state of the list, are still being felt.

As GWW says....Choco great coach in his first 5 or 6 years and was absolutely to his credit we won a premiership but the second 5 or 6 six years was very very average, as witnessed by our ladder positions and lack of decent players. I was always a great supporter of choco, and was sad to see him go but in reality it was prob a year or two too late.

But it was a crime he was reappointed.

Easy option.

Correct. The easy option was to reappoint him ( Choco ) and then the easy option was to go with Primus. The easy option was taken twice.

CEO and the board have alot to answer for regarding both decisions IMO.

"just playing the kids" as we seem to be doing now is pointless if we don't have the experienced players there to drag them up to their level. Right now the only two experienced players who are showing on field leadership and teaching the young kids what to do is Brogan and Motlop. Bring Chad in for Carlisle and let him marshal the troops back there because O'Shea is horribly out if his depth back there, constantly out of position and has no one there to provide leadership as Chaplin spends his time covering Carlisles mistakes and deplorable lack of speed and effort

No offence to Primus, but how much did the club's finances impact on the appointment?

From a long way outside looking-in, we've been all at sea since Bucky left.

Haven't got much choice but to play the kids!

Worrying so many players haven't kicked on over the past few years.

Don't buy the theory that the '07 grand final destroyed this playing group...
