That is a big in if correct.

He went to Westies from Gepps Cross, I would have thought he'd go back to them.

I've had nothing to do with Dist, thank god so don't point cattle my way.
Regardless of what left Districts they've recruited a $h!t load of players, alot of the faithful were sprouting A2 premiership for 2011
A little premature isn't it?
So was it the right decision replacing Pearce? :-k

I dont know Chris Judd, but i know he has won a few games for Carlton from his own talent. Just because i dont know Alfie personally, doesnt mean i havent seen him ever play.
Every club is hopeful for a premiership every year, especially a club that drops a division. So we are no different.
You have nothing to do with districts, but yet you keep re-visiting the Pearce drama... Everybody at Port Districts is over it and could not be happier with Rocket. Bury the hatchet Mercy, this story is done. 8)

I'll back you up Snake Eyes, Districts from memory had only one win from the first 6 or 7 games in 09 when someone whether it was the coach or someone else at the club coaxed Alfie to come out of retirement. The amount of effort he put in on the track to get fit and the effort he demanded of the other players on/off the field aswell as his own football ability definately had alot to do with Districts turning that season around and making the finals. And FTR I thought Pearcey axing last year was harsh, any coach/club would find it hard to be competitive after losing 12 or so players in one year, and being in Div 1 especially hard.

We down at Portland are happy use gave him the ass as it gave us a chance to get him. everyone i have spoken to that played under rick at Districts thinks hes a great bloke, 3 players have since followed him to portland and a couple more expressed interest at the start of the year, that didnt end up happening.

I didn't say anything was wrong with Rocket, i have met the lad & i found him a good bloke, i was just hoping the same wasn't going to happen to him that happened to Pearce.
On that note i will :-#

Good to see. Rod will get the job done. Its hard for any bloke to come from another club to a different league and division, that new club looses players and be able to set the world on gfire straight away. I hope he gets the troops going this week and get on the winners board

Great win by Port District today. Steve Clay and Cod Colburg kicked 5 or 6 goals each and the Tosser got either 4 or 5. Rocket Rod played himself and was good. Benny Gunning bobbed up with a few goals and was good as well.

Eventually a good win by everyone. Bring on Rostrevor now - a bit of confidence with the guys to give it a shake
