OTH, you did see correct. Gigney did make his comeback yesterday playing a full game of B-Grade at Centre-Half-Back and Full-Forward in the second half, even taking a hanger in the shoulders of the Mt Barker full-back, but it wasn't paid because he apparently pushed him in the back. It was a legitimate mark that you love to see in the game.

But it has always his intention to play this year, once his surgeon gave him the all clear to play.

I remember going to watch him play for Freeling in the 2007 Grand Final from what I remember he would have been about 34, so I'd think he'd be approximately 38 or 39 now

He's a gun. Big pickup for Onkas. Steve Wallace would of convinced him to go over

Very solid premiership midfielder played for willunga the last few years not sure where he is originally from though. Bit strange to be getting a clearance now as he has been playing a grade for them this year again, must have been a good contact. He was lucky enough to play his only game for willunga b's in the gf back from injury which they won, a grade losing.

Looks like 3 great comps, pity it isn't as easy as that. Sedan wouldn't want to be part of a C Grade comp and probably not fair to them, but Cally would fit in nicely even if they don't want it.

I guess we assume Echunga have no desire to re-enter Div 1 again.

Does anyone know if the Hills League is having an association game on the June long weekend. I believe the league approached the SFL to be part of their 3 league games over that weekend involving GSFL RMFL & SFL (2 teams) but were knocked back, I assume because the HFL pulled out of the game organised with the SFL last year. Pity the Lovelock Shield couldn't be revived but I guess it never will, players seem to just want that weekend off now.

Clubs voted against interleague games and to be honest they were becoming a waste of time. The big money men don't want to play and really who can blame them. I reckon the way they do it now with only colts playing is a better idea. No club wants their good players hurt in these nothing games!

Haven't seen the Courier yet. Yes, this is the perfect solution. In fact it is the exact solution so many posters here have been suggesting for the last 2 years!!! Why did it have to come from the Courier to be seen as valid?? SHERRIN, YOU HAVE THE POWER TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN. SO DO HILLS FOOTY A FAVOUR AND MAKE IT HAPPEN.

dont mind the concept, however you can buy an argument from me about TV, I/bank and Birdwood in Zone 1 (or central as you put it above).

both TV and I/bank have little in the way of juniors. both clubs struggle to fill all sides every Saturday, with a large number of boys having to play more than one grade. to be a zone 1 club you'll need to better than this in my book. also, why Birdwood? we dont even know if they're going to make the country GF in 2011.

anytime the zone model is raised it always makes for good debate.

Yes, AF competing against the "Big Money Teams" is not on their agenda.
However, they are at a similar stage to IB 10 years ago and have a very healthy board, supporter base and sponsors.
