21 May North v Labrador Foxtel Cup

Postby Adam4 » Mon May 16, 2011 1:50 pm

Wonder if North will put the best team it can on the park, or will it rest some high profile players.

Although North is 1-6, it has at least been close in most games and is playing a better and more entertaining game.

We'll be resting a few, the better ressies players have been told they'll get a game.
Free entry for those who rock up after the Freo v Port games (they'll probably pay you if you get their earlier).
Delayed national coverage on Fox.

I would have though Allers could use some goal kicking too. Jimmy, yep sounds right as we need him to last the season.

Ackland, agree too for the same reasons as Jimmy.

But not too many changes as the group is working a lot better this year as a team.

Alleway has been carrying a leg injury for a while. He will definitely be rested.

North will win by 60+
I think they will rest a few.
Dont believe players get paid for foxtel cup, not sure if its true. A player at my local club has been at reserves at port, he played country footy last weekend and got the call up to go to sydney because a couple of guys didnt want to go.

Wow, one week playing country footy, the next playing at the SCG, what a great experience this competition gives to so many.

I don't know about the 60+ but would be good to lift the team.

I am surprised though the player declined the opportunity to show the coach he can fit into the team. You should take up any chance you get to play. Sounds like he has given up on the club and has no interest.

Would be awesome

I think it will be closer to 100 than 60, even if North put half a reserves side out there.

He did play, some port regulars pulled out. Think you must have misread.
Free holiday to sydney and playing at SCG reckon he jumped at the chance

Also their website mentions Retzlaff was to debut for Brisbane (don't know if he did).
