Postby bayman » Sun May 15, 2011 7:12 pm

port fresh from a win in sydney taking on norwood, walker (if he plays) will be the difference, norwood to win by 5 or 6 goals (more if walker plays) in this rivalry round
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

I was told Tex would spend minimum of 2 weeks with Norwood so I cant see him going back to Crows this week.
Plus he didnt make a tackle on the weekend so according to that knob craigy his defensive pressure doesnt warrant him returning :D
Legs to win by 5 or 6, Tex to kick 8

I agree & Walker loves playing against Port, i think he kicked 8 last time he played for Norwood against them.

Not quite, it was only 3 but it did seem like more. He has kicked 20 goals in 5 games against Port Adelaide.

His totals against Port have been 2, 3, 7, 5, 3. The 7 was in the 2008 Elimination Final.

This is it. Craig has made a rod for his own back here. As you said, Tex didn't lay one effective tackle last week but booted 7 goals. If the Crows pick him based on his 7 goals after dropping him for not tackling, Craig would need to explain why.

It's a sad day when tackles are more important in footy than goals.

Its just a BS excuse from craig.
Last week tex had 2 tackles, tippett 1.
I dont care if he doesnt lay a tackle as long as he does his job which is to kick goals.

I wish he had. We might be better than 3-3 and he would of been nearly qualified for finals if we get there :D

I've never found him to be a selfish player at Norwood, probably haven't seen enough of his AFL games to comment though .. I would question whether it was selfishness or slow reaction time etc - He doesn't seem to be the quickest thinker on the field.

Gave a few goals off yesterday that I would have certainly backed him to kick.

I was thinking the same thing. I don't see many Crows games, but I've never seen him do anything at Norwood that suggested he was selfish. To the contrary, at times I wish he would be a little more selfish and kick more goals.

Definately only from what I have seen at the Crows ,extremely selfish and does not even look to pass off. Great player at SANFL but seems to just want to look good at AFL level. Hi Ho off to GWS you go ....

I'd have to agree. He kicked 7 and certainly handed off another 2 or 3. Didn't look selfish to me. Just looked a class above anyone else on the ground.

Still dont think he'll go to GWS, but wouldn't be surprised if he went somewhere .. As much as I love seeing him play in the Red and Blue, I hope he does switch clubs at AFL level to a club whose system is perhaps better suits his style.

At least then he and the football public can find out once and for all how decent he is or isnt.

Also think our club, like most SANFL clubs, need to work hard enough to develop a list that doesn't rely on the extraordinary talents of AFL players dropping back down.
