The Dogs dominated across their backline and ran the ball out with ease setting up many oppurtunties down the field.

Will be tough to replace Nash and Hardy who were both injured. Also wouldnt be surprised to see Symes back with the Crows next week.

Some interesting rumours as well floating around about the Matty Westoff situation.

Which one? You mean the one that goes like......."he got dropped, got the sooks & pissed off?" yeah, I heard that one too. Hope it's not the case though.

Yep thats the one i heard and that sometime this week he will be announced as a player for another SANFL club, the person i heard it from though isnt always the most reliable source of information.

I hope this isnt the case espcially with Hardy looking like he could miss a couple.

A game that we were never really in but never really out of either. Made some terrible skill errors and got punished for it just about every time.....lets hope that pattern of winning at home grounds continues later in the year!

Saw Cicca and Gowans chatting down the front but missed the kiss....saw James and Chris do the same thing to Nick Stevens at the ressies final at Richmond last year....contrary to popular belief they must have a softer side...
Trust the process.

If Hardy's injury is long term, Dogs fans might see Jacob Templeton in a key defensive role in the league side.

He is progressing nicely in the reserves, showing an improvement week by week.

Obst playing well up forward the last 2 weeks gives us the option of playing Havelberg down back, maybe play one of the rucks at full forward or even someone like Jenner up there.

Matt Westhoff went out to the huddle during 3/4 time, if he was leaving the club I doubt he'd have even been at the game. But we'll find out soon enough. I personally feel that AFL listed players changing SANFL clubs for "opportunities" is an admission of not being willing to work past other players. These blokes are trying to become regular AFL players, getting a regular SANFL game shouldn't be too hard for them if that's their goal.

Missed the first quarter and a bit due to smac jr's soccer, any sting was out of the game at that point and Central seemed to control the game at all stages. Answered any Eagles goal with one or two of our own, some very pleasing signs for this stage of the season. Interesting watching the impact of an altered fitness program with the players up and about much earlier than previous seasons.

After Centrals dominated the first quarter, the Eagles resorted to their trademark 'play for free kicks' game plan, and it worked. Not only were the Eagles getting an armchair ride for the umps, several blatant frees for Centrals were missed. As a result, the Eagles were able to get back in the game. However, they could never get closer than 15 points and Centrals did what they needed to do to get the 2 premiership points, joining West Adelaide in a break up the top of the ladder.

Yes we were soundly beaten. Every other poster seems to have summed up the game correctly. I strongly doubt you watched the game properly. Ridiculous post.

Given the silence after every Eagles goal I strongly doubt you were even at the game, and given you're a Johnny come lately I strongly doubt you've even been to many Ealges game so I wouldn't start with the 'ridiculous post' stuff until after you've started attending games on a regular basis.

I know supporters of other clubs dont like to make the trek to Elizabeth, but the lack of Eagle supporters yesterday was nearly embarassing. I would estimate that there would have been less than 200 eagle supporters yesterday, considering it was 2nd v 3rd a pi$$ poor effort.

I go to every Eagles game pal and have been to most since 1991. Was present on the receiving end of many hidings at Elizabeth pre merger as well.

Your comment about the umpiring was ridiculous. That's what I was referring to.

Number of posts on this website is not an accuate refelction of how many games people attend or their ability to make a comment.

Didn't realise this site had become a exclusive club only for those who comment on every thread.

Of all the SANFL grounds, Elizabeth is easily one of my favorite to go to, despite the longest road trip in SANFL (I'm down South, past Noarlunga). Great atmosphere, plenty of parking, very good surface - very few negatives, to be honest.
Can you guess where I'm calling from, the Las Vegas Hilton...

I know i'll get in trouble for saying this but...does the end to enders for Centrals seem to be full of the mentally challenged of late or what??? It's embarrassing. I'm trying to stand there and watch the match and then one of them (there's about 4 or 5 of them) goes absolutely ape and then says something with the phrase "West Coast Eagles" in it. :?
