How many did the umps get for North?

Pretty straightforward question pal.

It was a fair result in the end with it being a comfortable Norwood win and North's biggest loss in 2011. If Norwood hadn't turned it over so many times they would have won by well over 10 goals.
Norwood only need to polish up a bit and they'll be up there.

What have North got to look forward to?
Its game against Labrador!
Seriously though, a lot of kids in the team and most very promising, we'll get there, but not anytime soon.
Central, Eagles and West in the next 3 SANFL games, I say put everything into the Labrador game!

How many did the umps get for North?

North got five from frees and Norwood got four from frees. Plus Norwood got another goal when Luke Ivens was clearly tackled without the ball and the umpire was in the wrong position.

The umpires weren['t good, but they had absolutely no impact on the result. Both sides turned the ball over much too often, but Norwood had much more polish plus Taylor Walker who looked like a man amongst boys.

North are paying dearly for poor recruiting over the summer. North desperately need a full back Centre Half back hard midfielder crumbing forward and probably a full forward.

One of the most one sided and incompetent displays of umpiring i've ever seen.

Norwood were very, very poor today. We're carrying way too many blokes out of form and over possess the ball horribly even with walker roaming about. Luckily for us Alleway had an absolute stinker otherwise the umps would have got the result they so overtly were hoping for.

Yeah, Alleway's been carrying a leg injury for a few weeks now, I'm not sure why he doesn't just go rest it as his kicking has been terrible with it.

The umpiring was rubbish, but where in the rulebook does it say the free-kicks must be even?

Nearly double against the team that was way better on the day. You reckon that's normal?

The umpiring today was a disgrace. One in particular gave Norwood nothing, and I seriously question his integrity. Nobody could be that bad without being deliberate about it.

Worst umpiring I've seen since John Caulfield 1972.

Apart from a 29 to 16 free tally, a big frees inside 50m discrepancy and thousands of eye witnesses
to crappy decisions one way and missing decisions the other ?
No 'Dedj', no facts at all to back it up mate.
;)
I honestly can't say it was anywhere near the worst umpiring exhibition I've ever seen, but it
wasn't too bloody clever. Especially from one umpire in particular. I thought there was something
fishy going on. WE FOUND NEMO ! (Norwood Enemy Maggot One)

I wouldn't know because I never look at a stat that I think is irrelevant.

Taylor Walker kicking 7 goals was a more influential stat you would think.

Wasn't an impressive standard this match, Norwoods disposal and over-possessing was terrible, but I thought our intensity and effort was pretty good ... We probably got North at the right time with Wright out of the side, and our limited number of inside mids all seemed to have a decent day.

It would be nice to think we'll start seeing an improvement in our skills shortly, but I've been saying that for 5 weeks now.

I think North are actually on the right track .. In space their skills were better than ours and they switched the play well, but in the first quarter in particular, delivery to their forwards really let them down after some impressive build up's.

Just on the umps, that last free kick to Walker was comical .. He and his opponent were just having a bit of push of shove, which the umpire had seen, but then reverted to trying to watch the play.

Walker was the first one to ground, us Norwood fans made a hoo-haa, and without seeing the incident the ump whistled and gave Walks the free ... Just ridiculous umpiring that we'd been treated to all day -Im actually for the first time regularly confused about who is receiving a free kick and what it's for (regardless of which way it goes)
