Thought Motlop may have played but I guess he has to earn a spot in the team.

Sam Ezard in line for a debut, younger brother of James.

Goodlooking side yes but they are playing some youngsters as well who probably aren't quite up to it yet .Couple that with the coach probably feeling a bit insecure with people looking over his shoulder won't help either.

this game deserves a crowd of at least 5,000 & probably up to 7,000, however with the inclement weather can they break the 3,000 ?

Hasnt taken long for both Hartlett and Fisher to be out injured, how long until Ferguson is also on the injury list.

Im going to go Glenelg here by about 2-3 goals.

Looking at the draw apart from Centrals (which they caught off guard playing their first game of the year) West have had a pretty soft run playing the 4 sides which most people think will miss the finals (North, Sturt, Port, South).

I think the loss against the Dogs and the get out of jail against North just might be the kick up the ar5e the bays needed.

The next 3 games for West (Glenelg(h), Eagles(a), Norwood(h) will really show where at the bloods are at and if they are a serious premiership threat.

Interestingly West have the bye after that tough 3 game stretch and then only play a further 5 games at City Mazda for the rest of the season.

Off guard? Didn't Centrals get the SANFL fixture when it came out?

I presume you're trying to imply these players are all injury prone. Hartlett is; Fisher had a couple of bad injuries at Carlton but still managed to play 99 AFL games; and until Ferguson punctured his lung in a collision injury last year he would hardly have missed a game for us.
Or maybe it's just wishful thinking about Ferguson after the job he did on Westhoff.

Really - he needs to earn a spot? Has anyone from the WAFC coaching panel told him that because at North he obviously had a hearing problem and though he was harshly treated!

Must be listening at Westies as he seems to have changed his game a little since he has been to the club. Maybe previous North coaches just didnt know how to get the best out of him? (not trolling just asking the question). Collins is a good teacher and maybe thats what he needs is a teacher rather than what North offered?

Would of thought Daniel Healy was a "good teacher" seeing as he was a junior development coach at Port.

Very tempted to go to this match tonight. Should be a beauty. The most important match of the year to date? I sort of expect Glenelg to win, but hope West do.

Interesting that Cam Hitchcock has played 2 league matches for Glenelg (prior to this one tonight), and we have lost both of them. :(

Hope he doesn't continue with his jinxing of us tonight

Well I am sure the change to his game was probably due to the fact he is on his last chance and nothing to do with who is coaching? Motlop had Jarman, Healy and Francou as coaches at North. Jars had a great understanding and developed the Aboriginal players really well and was very patient, Healy was supposed to be a good teacher / coach and alot of the younger players agreed (he just confused the **** out of the Senior players!) and Francou is learning the trade but by all accounts a hard but fair task master.

He had enough chances at North and at the end of the day it was his choice to move. For his sake I hope he can lift and improve but I wouldn't be putting any hard earned on it!
