Round 8 - Teams, Trades & Discussion

Postby Hondo » Tue May 10, 2011 2:31 pm

I noticed the round 7 thread had crept into round 8 discussion.

Grimes .--> who, Curnow --> who will be common questions this week.

I'll be bringing Swan in this week for Curnow.

Probably down grade Duigan to i.Smith due to the bye & Duigan has peaked.

Given that Defender Premiums have been a massive let down this year, I'm considering downgrading Grimes to a rookie and upgrading Swallow to a midfield premium.

BC, you can't trade on Tuesdays! ;)

What if Mackie or Smith pull out before Friday?

Curnow might be ok to return after the bye? Although thinking I might trade him anyway.

Curnow out, I.Smith in.
A.Otten out, Newman in.

Nightmare round. Have too many Carlton seagulls in my squad. Think I'll be carrying a duck egg or 2 this week. Depending on my opposition, might throw this round, and prepare for the week after.

Glad I learnt from previous years experience and left Higgins alone this season .. Have done the same with Chapman but starting to right re-think that one.

People who have Montagna won't be happy, he's been rubbed out for 1 match for his "effort" against Curnow.

Thinking just the 1 sideways trade this week, grimes to adcock.

Any idea how much Grimes will drop in price next week ? I want to get Pendlebury or Boyd this week but will use 2 trades doing it which won't allow me to get rid of Grimes

Yeah, don't play means you can't move in value at all. Will be a cheap pick up next year which is good. Sad I'm already looking forward to next year haha

Tom Bellchambers is one to ponder. With Hille back and fit, wonder how much time he will get as first ruckman, unless they rotate through attack.

Oh well. I'm crap at supercoach anyway.

Mackie! No way been burnt by him too many times. Not enough contested ball and too many turnovers. Even crap supercoaches shouldn't be trading on Tuesday cracker!
