Our A grade put in a much improved effort on last weeks loss to CU. Put up a good fight all day.... got within 2 goals late, but couldn't quite crack them.

Good to watch!

Can anyone from Colonal Light Gardens explain the undisciplined behind the play attack on particular Glenunga players. In the B grade one of our players was clearly hit behind play and was layed out. In the A's another Glenunga player was hospitalised. Very poor, havent seen that kind of undicipline in the saafl for a long time.

Secondly, what happend to Henley's B grade on Saturday????

A grade was friendly fire champ.
Get ya facts right before you post that kind of garbage.

FTW hope the kid comes up alright was playing very well to that point.

Honestly cant say I saw the A grade incident but spoke with someone in the crowd. Mostly referring to the B grade hit, was very ugly to see.

Secondly, what happend to Henley's B grade on Saturday????[/quote]

Our boys played really well again on Saturday. Playing some good confident team footy at the moment with everyone contributing. I know Henley had some of their better players missing this week and as has been the case in the past seem to struggle to get their best squad to travel out to us each year. Our back six are really working well as a group and once again kept our opposition to less than 5 goals. This week against Glenunga will be more of a challenge and a good chance to see if we really are up to Kenilworth's standards.

It's a pity our A grade are not playing with the same confidence. Even though we are 4 and 1 we still are yet to play some of the better sides and are not getting enough players contributing each week. Too much is being left to too few and as a result a number of B Graders have been getting opportunities in the A grade in recent weeks, which is good to see. No doubt a few more will get an opportunity this week and hopefully we get some key position players back with our 1st and 2nd rucks having been out for the last month, our CHF unavailable, our CHB in Darwin on uni placement and 2 other first choice talls also injured. It makes the B grades results even more rewarding, knowing that the A grade have had most of our key position players over the last few weeks.

Expecting very tough games in both grades against Glenunga this week.

TOS B's were very good on the weekend and although being clearly outplayed the Sharks stayed in the game for nearly 3 quarters before being over run badly in the last quarter. Quite a few underdone players in the Henley side whose fitness let them down in the last and led to a blow out. Agree with TOSSER, their backline was very solid and rebounded well all day. Henley will look much stronger with a few players back next week.
Henley As put in a great performance and were unlucky to go down. Won't comment on TOS's performance as I don't know enough about them, but I thought Henley controlled the play for most of the game but struggled to convert that on the scoreboard. If Henley keep playing with that type of intensity they might surprise a few sides later this season.

didnt see the incident so not going to comment but would like to say thanks to a few of the glenunga lads for coming up for a beer after.
all of the a grade will definately be returning the favour when we play the return leg.

on the game i thought both teams had a red hot go and i know we had a lot of positives that came out of the game, its not often that you have positives come out of a loss but after last week against CU i think we took a step forward in our football.

I'd love to hear his story.
I reckon I was in a pretty good position to judge and I can guarantee no CLG maliciously struck the kid.
I don't think he knew what got him as he was out cold, but the big bald fella from Glenunga should be able to shed some light...

Like i said before get your facts very clear before you accuse anyone of hitting a player

Yeah I did not see the incident either, and that is why I won't comment further on it. I have seen its immediate and longer term impact though and its quite distressing. It does P*&# me off that we can not make somebody be accountable for it at this stage.

I popped up for a beer and thought it was quite a good setup you guys have there. I think it is always important to show a level of respect and pop in for a beer when away if time permits. I had a good chat with a couple of CLG lads and enjoyed it.

I definately agree that you guys put in a tough effort and it must have been pleasing after the Central United game.

Well I would definitely like to know what some witnesses think actually happened. Please let me know your side of the story in a little clearer detail. I can not picture who this bald person would be??

He did and it was a great experience for the lads, as well as being a hugely successful day off the field. Shattered we didn't get the win though, especially after being up by six goals midway through the third quarter. Uni came out firing in the last quarter and kept us goal-less to steal the win.

Number 18

Postby Jimmy56 » Wed May 11, 2011 10:02 am

Number 18 from cu against us on the weekend in the bgrade absolutely gun had way to much skill for us don't think he missed a tagged or Dropped a grab was soiled in the backhalf and could not find a player to stop him. Wouldn't mind a player like that in our As. :D
