Half ya luck Booney.

Played Royal Adelaide a few weeks back in a corporate day- Course in great nick, MatteeGs swing not so much. Driving was good but the rest was junk.

Id expect Kooyonga would be in similar sensational shape.

i ended up playing the short course at the Pat, was my 1st round in a few years and boy did i play like it...

It amazes me how some shots u look like a complete knob, topping them, slicing and generally looking like u dont belong on a putt putt course let alone a real golf course..

Then all of a sudden u play shots that any golfer in the world would be happy to claim as there own, like the 9iron on 1 of the par 3's that ends up less than 2m from the hole.

The course itself was in really good condition, having only played there once about 10 years ago, it was a nice surprise.

If anything can be complained about is the length of some of the holes.. Not the fact there are no par 5's etc, but it would be nice if a couple of the par 4's were 300+m in length so u can really get the driver out and have a crack, and maybe the greens could be a bit bigger.

But overall it was a nice day out on the greens and will definatly be heading back there in the near future..

MT, if u like the pat short course u will love regency park IMO, regency park's fariways are twice as wide, gerens twice as big and the rough is more forgiving, with only about 10m until u hit the next fairway..

That sounds like my game Mickey, but much less topping and going about 20m

The Short Course is designed for beginners to learn how to play and the regular golfers that need short game practice. When I play there I leave my driver in the boot of my car as I don't need it. Last year some time I think it is the 15th?? tee shot landed 10m past the green chipped on and missed the birdie putt

only for club selection, I wouldve thought that keeping you well hydrated with amber fluid wouldve been on the cards too. That disappoints me ;)

For those that don't know I have just discovered that the Pat now offers an online booking service for both the Westward Ho Members and Public players.

Register and have your credit card handy and away you go :)
