Sorry Archer when I went to post the final score my phone was being hard to get along with

Ended up being a draw.

Although confirmation from goal umpires, score board and time keeper were needed - which made it interesting...lol.
Was a good game to watch - exciting for the crowd.

Cracking game of country footy at yank today. Not sure what the yank boys thought, but I reckon it was as physical and intense as I have seen for a while. Yank too good in the end. 20 odd points up. Bloody frustrating for us considering we have improved out of sight but we are 0-4

Was a great hit out by both sides and the better team won on the Day.PLEASE READ .The day was spoilt by a disgusting person/persons from yankalilla when at the half time break a young girl from Goolwa was walking across the oval with a little 6 week old puppy and these so called human beings sarted to abuse her and the puppy yelling out to the Yank players as they run on to the ground [quote]stomp on the dogs F???K??G head and crush it.Oh how these so called human being ars so brave because i know the father of the teenage girl concerned and i can tell you if he had heard this all hell would have broke loose.
To anyone invloved in a management position at the Yankalilla football club, that has any brains and follows this site,i would suggest that you contact the so called human beings that were sitting directly on the stand behind the Visitors coaches and get to the bottom of that disgusting verbal assult on this young girl and find out whos mouths this come from because you need to kick them out of your club as they will bring it down, thank god i do not live in or near a town that consider those sorts of verbal attacks on young teenage girls appropriate.

Good game of footy at Strath yesterday, Willunga winning by 27 pts. Willunga up all day but Strath got to within 2pts in the last 1/4 and i thought Strath were going to pinch it but Willunga were just to good on the day.

D. Deductions and Concessions – General

If a player has not played football at any level for 24 months or more before resuming as a player he will automatically have a Player Points Rating of zero (0).

From http://www.sportingpulse.com/assoc_page ... sID=163944

It still seems he should be 2 points as he has only missed 1 season. Then again Yank have been very good at finding the little cracks (ie Warmington, Durdin and Perry all playing as zero pointers) so maybe not.

Heard last night from a very reliable source that yank last week were over there points allocation. Will be interesting to see if they lose the points vs enc bay for last week or get a nice fine $$$. This is without ormand allen playing so it is very unlikely that lohde and others will be back as no points are available for yank.

Was informed yesterday that Yank have been found guilty of breaching over the past 2 rounds (2&3) and that they were fined $400 and lost premiership points and percentage. It appears it may be correct losing 2 points for the game against the Bays and percentage in the loss to Strath looking at the ladder on sporting pulse.

I experienced similar behaviour by a group of drunken yobbos at Yankalilla last year whilst goal umpiring a Senior Colts game. Congregated in front of their cars at the Golf Course end of the ground, they completely embarrassed themselves, the Yankalilla Footy Club and the township of Yankalilla with their constant, unwarranted verbal abuse of the oppositions' players. The problem was that it wasn't just light hearted jibes being directed at the players but it was language was of the most Vulgar nature imaginable for everone within 100 metres to hear.
Unfortunately all clubs have a few bad apples of supporters that do the wrong thing, we can just hope that management of these clubs deal with these isolated incidents as they occur as NOBODY should be abused or intimidated at what is for a lot of people a family day out at Country Footy.

I've noticed that the new Victor Harbor jumpers are predominantly blue on the back now.. when they played Encounter Bay earlier in the year did one of the teams wear white shorts or a clash jumper??

Thinks Bays have new guernseys too - their numbers were bright yellow anyway. I found it hard to tell what was going on over the other side of the big bay oval, but it being a night game had more to do with that.

[edit] Bays wear yellow shorts anyway (unless they have changed to blue?)

dont think bays have worn yellow shorts for 5 or more years. At the night game bays wore yellow jumpers and blue shorts.

How did the league find out - did Yank own up or do those in power read our dribble?

I can say I have noticed the yellow shorts for about 10 years. Didnt the old bays club song incorporate a line about the "yellow" shorts? Maybe that was just my version as a kid?

On a completely different note Dundovic and the Ellis boys are kicking some goals in the HFL. After round 5 they have 61 between them. Ellis boys 20 a piece and Dundovic 21.

LMAO - I'm a bit older than you but we used to sing the same version as you. Politically incorrect nowadays!

Yep Dale/Luke kicked 18 (8/10) between them for Torrens Valley against Bridgewater on Sat - earning their keep it seems. Dundovic kicked 10 against TV and Blackwood havent played Bridgewater yet either.

Did a hammy at training the week before the first game, played round 2 in the A's then did the other hammy at training the next week. So not much to report on yet - hopefully back soon.

Luvyayarn - Lets be perfectly clear here... Yankalilla in no way accepts or condones the behaviour u mentioned, IF it did indeed happen. The area of which u heard the abuse from (behind the visitors coaches box) is nearly always filled with opposition players and supporters as YFC people tend to hang around under the verandah in front of the BBQ and changerooms.Everyone who attends Yank games knows this. How are u sure that the abuse came from a YFC person??? U never said...
Whilst i certainly dont agree with what was said, some of the foul language coming out of Goolwa supporters mouths( including females) was far from angelic as well, so I wouldnt be so quick to point the finger at everyone else!! Unfortunately EVERY club has bad eggs and it is near on impossible to weed them all out! The club simply cannot be held responsible for EVERY idiot that takes it a little too far!!! The minority always spoils the majority.
The bravery u speak of.. Did u say anything to the offending person/s when u heard the abuse?? I am DAMN SURE that if i heard such abuse directed towards a teenage girl whether she was from YFC or anywhere else for that matter, i would be the first to tell the people that its not on and to pull their heads in!! Are u saying u didnt do this??? and u speak of bravery???? Hmm
After looking at all of ur previous posts, all u do on here is bag people. Are u really that much of a sad sack that u can only come on here to slam people while hiding behind ur computer??? If u have an issue with anything, act like a grown up and approach the person involved or if necessary, the hierachy of the club and then maybe something might get done.. Anyone can sit on here and hang sh$t on everyone else. You have little or no credibility on here with ur constant negativity and baiting... Everyone else on here can actually say positive things about other clubs on here, why are u any different?? werent u ever told that if u cant say anything nice, dont say anything at all??? Im sure most people on here are sick to death of the minority like you who have nothing better to do than be negative at every opportunity.. Try being pleasant for once, u mite be surprised with the result..
On a lighter note, the game on Sat was a fantastic showing of tough, hard country footy, the way it should be!! The way Goolwa played on Sat I have no doubt that a win is very close around the corner.. The Maggies B Grade belted us, and i can see them knocking over Strath this week and getting close to seeing some Sept action if they keep at it!! For our boys, there is always next week, and what better way to bounce back than to knock off Victor on their home deck. Another great round of action coming up!!!
As for the points situation, we have copped our fair wack, its done and dusted, and its just another thing to drive us and make us strive to prove the naysayers wrong!!! Its a long season folks!

One story i've heard is that someone outside the club noticed a player was allocated 0 points on the GSFL website and must have known they had played football recently etc and it was discovered he had and thus he was a 2 point player! have no idea of names or clubs they played for!

Sounds spot on. (and no it wasnt me) From what the Yank people were saying on the weekend this was the case. They were contacted by this person or persons who said they should double check the points allocated. Once it was realised they owned up to the league.

I find it hard to believe that Yank would deliberately try and pass such a well known player off as a zero pointer and think they could get away with it, but on the other hand I also find it hard to believe that someone at Yank didnt realise he had to carry points. Costly error.
