Hugely disappointing result for the cocks, huge fightback by the bays.

What can one say, North nearly 6 goals up and according to those there dominated the 1st half, got done, obviously alot of postive signs for North in the 1st half but after that who knows what happened. Possibly saved Mickans hide if you can believe somethings around the traps

The pressure would still be on BIG TIME. Glenelg only just managed to beat the bottom side in North...

i thought it was an even contest in the first term, allan was dominating with i'd suggest a 'career high' 4 first term goals, while grima kicked 3 in that first quareter, north were superb in the 2nd & bar for a couple of late goals for the tigers they dominated the term, after halftime glenelg led by cornes, tenace & kirkby clawed its way back into the match & by 'lemon time' i thought we had gained control of the contest, to the last glenelg got off to a great start with a goal & then cornes gave away a 'silly free' in the centre & north kicked a goal, the the bays running with renewed confidence kicked a few after that & got to a 17 point lead & seemed poised to run away with it & win by plenty but then young andrew bradley got stretchered off & it gave time for north to regroup & composed themselves & got the scores back to level & then glenelg responded with 1.2 & the alleway took a great mark, got what i considered a soft 25 metre penalty & missed from point blank range, alleway is usually a very reliable kick & with last week & this weeks poor kicking i'm thinking perhaps he's carrying some sort of leg injury & that was the game from my eyes

glenelg's best players i thought were in budget order grima, kirk, tenace, cornes, allen, rudolph & kirkby & for north ackland, allan, ryswyk, teasdale, thiele

the most amazing thing i thought was that alleway & gill kicked 3 between them & most times you'd think they'd get killed yet other players popped up which gives north some confidence in the future

what i've also learnt is there isn't much in ability between all teams in the competition with the exception of wwt & central who'll probably play in the grand final & are a bit above the rest when their full lists are available

tsg, you were right mate

I thought for all the crap he cops from the crowd Chad Cornes was outstanding for the bays in the last quarter and a big reason why they ultimately won the game

I still can't understand why he even played for the Bays this week, thought it was a terrible move by the Power to drop him.

Would have been an interesting scenario had North won - three teams on four wins and the other six in two! As it stands, it is still very even at the moment. There may be a break at the top, but there is no clear wooden spoon favourite yet.

Hope the power leave him there, I for one think he will be handy week in week out for the bays, looked like he wanted to win in the last quarter as much as any player in black & gold

For sure mate, would be a great player at this level and would bleed Black and Gold you'd think .. I just thought it was an odd decision by the Power to omit him.

Think your'e right , it could have been (maybe should ??? ) only 1 win for the Bays so far and that would have been interesting. Not sure if Mickann can win though , he has put a few young blokes in which is what the Glenelg fans wanted yet I still hear Glenelg fans saying certain blokes shouldn't get a game ? Are they referring to these young guys ?

Much appreciated, I wasn't scared of Graham's approach to me but those face and neck tattooed freaks were a bit scary.

Apparantley it was a young bloke because Graham Cornes wasn't too happy with my "Dig a hole and bury him" quip!
