There's a difference between being a ball hog, and taking shots because it's in your team's best interests.
If you want to see a ball hog, watch Russ Westbrook play in the finals.. he's taking more shots than Durant. And I'm an OKC man.

Kobe assists the ball.
Also, an assist doesn't equal a pass.
If he's shooting around 19/20 shots a game and has 3 or 4 assists, that means he's passing the ball to others, for them to assist, a lot.
Kobe demands a double team SO many times - and of those times, he gets the ball to a player who then gets it to a player.
This is my point about using only stats (and flawed ones at that) to make a determination.

Good ball movement is a key in basketball, moving the ball around... it's not always one pass then shoot. To say that 8/10 times someone would nail an open shot isn't right.
As for doing better than 0-2 against the Mavs... that's sport! That's basketball!
It's not always how it should be, else it would be boring.
The Spurs should've beaten Memphis, but they didn't.
N'orleans shouldn't have got two games off the Lakers, they did.
Dallas could have easily been out against Portland, they aren't. That's jut the beauty of sport, and the NBA.
One of the three or four best pure shooters in the league, and he isn't taking a gross amount of shots ... so I really struggle to consider that being a ball hog.

Point Guard vs Shooting Guard.
And please PLEASE don't use the "all star" game as a guide for ANYTHING.

takes guts to call it all over when they're 0-2 down.
