Ando is Shaun Anderson, played at Rosewater last few years, premiership player at Portland in 2000. Great player in his day, getting on a bit but still value. Good guy. Is there a fella by the name of Rob Cains training out there? Watch out for him

Rob Cains? not sure, I am still trying to learn all the names. I only know most people by their nick names as well, do you know what his nick name would be? and why do I have to watch out for him?

I met the North Haven president a few weeks a go but cant remember his name, too many new people to remember :)

people were saying that last year at westies that we wouldnt lose a game, it is pretty hard & with a lot of new players it might take a few game to gel together (just making excuses already :))

If nothing has changed out that way, their president is David Kolbig, however could now be Jason Pridham... but with the amount of cash being thrown around and the deals being done i'd say its still the porn king. Could be wrong, spoke to another mate of mine who still plays out there about a week ago but didnt get any details...

[quote="Demps22"]As far as a I know the new arrivals at North Haven are:
Rick Woodrow, Luke Robinson, Matthew Hood, Reece? (Reece is a mate of hoody & is from Salisbury) and there are a few others that havent been to training yet. We got a guy called Ando or something like that from Rosewater.[quote]

Reece McIntee, skinny lad, played A's for Salisbury last year and previously for North Pines.

Could be the same guy but he is pretty stocky & looks like a bit of a hard nut. He did say that he has played for North Pines & even trained a few times there this pre-season.

Pretty sure Pridham got the axe FC, in a cloud of controversy i hear.
Cainsy is a good bloke Demps, just dont get in a shout with him, likes stitching people up. If you dont know who he is, look for the guy with massive calves.

Hahaha - if Nth Haven have Cainsy and Heady playing lookout all in sundry! Funny fellas and real runa mucks!
Demps tell me honestly you reckon Ricky Woodrow is worth cash (big cash) and what would he possibly on a Nth Haven.
I ask as he has spoken to a few clubs this year, personally I thought he headed back to SW. Rumpur has it he had put a big price tag on himself. One report is he is a capable player but not worth the 350 he put on his head, apparently cant keep his eyes on the ball and losses the plot easily. Is it true he was stripped of the SW captaincy at one stage?

I think he is worth the money for sure, he is as hard as you will see at the ball & is a real in & under player. He is a good leader in that he gets the respect from his team mates & seems to know what he is talking about (well sometimes anyway :))He does give out a bit but also gets it back & doesnt sook when he does cop it. I know he spoke with Encounter Bay & he wasnt real keen on staying at westies, he wasnt captain last year because he had a broken colar bone & ankle during the pre-season & we also had a new coach. So I wouldnt say that he was stripped of the captaincy.

Thanks for setting me straight, I wasnt sure about him. Just heard he was a bit hot headed but I will take your word for it. In footy I think we are all a bit that way.

Cainsy has massive calves - he has to stitch two pairs of socks togetehr just to get them over one leg.

Well I havent seen Cainsy then.

Rick isnt the flashy type player that runs with the ball, he does the hard stuff so others don thave to (including me) :) he is one of those guys that you love to have in your team but would hate to play against him.

Reece is a quality player, finished second in our B&F and I know our playing group are disappointed we lost him, aparantly there was a mix-up or misunderstanding with the commitee or something, couldn't tell you for sure why he left tho. Will be a good get for North Haven, gets a lot of hard-ball but his playing style can take its toll on his body.

cant say much yet, all I know is that he is not all that happy at the moment & another club has offered him something. Will have to wait for a few more days, I should know by Wednesday which way he is going.

Sorry I cant say more yet, unless he tells me that I can :)

Rick is actually moving pretty well & is looking fit (well sort of :)), he knows how to manage his knee so that should be fine. What we have to do is keep him off his motor cross bike, he cant seem to keep it on 2 wheels & keeps crashing ahahaha

Is anyone on here involved at Rosewater ? They had until yesterday (thursday) to let the SAAFL know of they would be fielding sides in D4/D4R this year, or if they would have just one team in one of the C1-C4 grades. I was told the likely scenario would be one team - they just havent got the cash or players to fill two teams. It will be interesting to see what unfolds if they pull out of D4 - will Fitzroy come in, or will they have a bye. Have you heard anything about this Punk Rooster ?

I wonder if Fitzroy would want to though - they have done all their planning and recruiting based on being in D5, its pretty late in the piece to be changing tact. I spoke to a Fitzroy guy this morning, his general feeling was that they would stay put. Also, if Fitzroy come up, then there will be a domino effect through all the grades below.
A bye would be good, dont you think Demps ? Especially if you had it a couple of weeks out from the finals.

I have never been a fan of the bye, I like to keep playing. You are right though with the domino effect in all the grades below, well it will be interesting to see what happens.

Just noticed something interesting on the iscore website - the D4 fixture has been changed this morning, Rosewater are still on there, but all games involving them have been changed. For example, they were down to play Unley at home in round 1, now they are to play Salisbury at Salisbury. Interesting, not sure what it means though.
